To Want a "Let Boys Be Boys" campaign too?

I totally agree with MN's campaign but think boys should have someone to back them up too. I'm fed up of slogans on t-shirts alluding to boys' bad behaviour ("Whatever" "I've Got a Bad Attitude") and boys' things generally - I'm a monster, I'm a monkey, I'm a little shit (ok, I made that last one up). My son is sweet, kind, sensitive, intelligent, articulate and generally lovely. Why can't I buy something for him that's a positive message (I can buy any number of "Little Princess" type, fluffy bunny, angel, sweet stuff for dd if I choose)? There's a niche in the market here...

I agree and I've actually stopped looking at clothes from Next and Tesco, as I am totally fed up of the monkey, monster etc crap.

Oh and the whole dressing kids up to look like a miniature chav dad does my head in too. Mmmm plastic leather look bomber jackets with flammable fluffy lining. Nice one Next.

What will they do next - Junior Sir Signet rings from the Elizabeth Duke at Argos collection.

When DS was born my friend brought me back a tee from NY that had Motherf*cker on the front....

Well he was 11 lbs and his big head caused 18 stitches up my poor fanjo.

She was being tongue in cheek....

I've been away, so missed these updates. Oyama, I've no idea if my son is gay. If he was I'd have no problem with it - he's my son. I still have a problem with the imagery and subtext of the slogan t-shirts in the shops though!

It isn't hard to avoid the fluffy princess stuff though is it? Posters are saying just don't buy them- well, that's how I feel about girl's pink or tarty clothes- just don't buy them.

I think that Next clothes are vile in general
