YABU re David

YANBU re Ed.

My secret politician crush a while back was Michael Portillo. Met him once, think he only spoke to me for 30 secs or so. But good god the man has charisma..

nighbynight · 16/05/2010 22:57

How interesting. I never met Portillo, and could never understand the effect he seemed to have on people. It certainly didnt come over in photos.

expatinscotland · 16/05/2010 23:06

they look like characters on a Dr Who episode. any minute, their skin will peel off or their heads will open up to a reveal a being with far more personality than its shell of a host.

you hope.

i mean, real people can't possibly be that bland?

gdives · 16/05/2010 23:41

YABVVVVU! Not both! Just David! I'd like to lick him all over. (hic) My DH thinks I'm very odd and worries about my taste in men.

mistletoekisses · 17/05/2010 08:35

nighbynight - nope I didnt get it either. Then I met the man...I can honestly say that only one or two people in my life have had that effect on me.

elportodelgato · 17/05/2010 09:00

mistletoekisses oh yay! a fellow Portillo-adorer! I have loved him since about 1994 I think (when I was in 6th form ) then in about 2000 I actually met him and was (like you) rendered utterly speechless by how charming and magnetic he is. The crush continues to this day.

ANYWAY back to the subject, YANBU to fancy David. Ed not at all my type but my husband has met him a few times (through work) and says he is by far the cleverer and more charming Miliband with more potential as leader. So there you go.

RedRedWine1980 · 17/05/2010 12:17

They are both lush- bit slimey looking but i'd do/be done by either

mistletoekisses · 17/05/2010 15:42

I think the other thing about Portillo is that he has that look about him. You just know that man would show you a good time round the bedroom, or any room for that matter.

biddysmama · 17/05/2010 15:47

have you not had any for a while? i was single for 3 years with no action at all after ds was born and started to fantasise about alsorts of strange men.... the chap from the old charlie and the chocoalte factory was one that i went a bit mad on for a while

elportodelgato · 17/05/2010 15:50

mistletoekisses I am now thinking naughty Portillo-related thoughts in the office. Not good! I bet he's absolutely filthy...

Ewe · 17/05/2010 15:54

A Miliband menage a trois?

mistletoekisses · 17/05/2010 16:11

novice - I am totally with you! He would be filthy.
Think we need to pull our minds out from the gutter.

applemint · 17/05/2010 16:28

Well Hilary Clinton would agree regarding David

See pictures at this link:

wook · 17/05/2010 19:01

Ed Balls, yes. Ed Miliband, no.
David Miliband, are you all insane ??? Is he even human?

MarineIguana · 17/05/2010 20:44

Ha ha at those Hillary pics! - brilliant.

Surely no one would rather have Hague than a Miliband?

harpsichordcarrier · 17/05/2010 21:34

she is WELL up for it, the old cougar

TheCalvert · 17/05/2010 21:50
