My living room stinks of cigarette smoke. What the hell could it be ?

Do you own a teenager? My money is on them and/or their friends. If you are sure it is cigarettes.

I received a parcel and the delivery driver was smoking at my door. Has made the hall stink. Its so disrespectful.

(Whenever we get a delivery from citylink i get annoyed by something they do - or don't do)

Anyway - have you had a delivery? especially if your front door goes straight into the lounge.

We had this once and it was an electric blanket smouldering under a quilt. Took an age to locate the problem. Probably not your cause though in this weather. Hope you get it sorted soon.

phone an electricain pronto! get them out to check it out. its worth the piece of mind if nothing else you wont rest until you solve this .

Have you burnt any milk recently? I did this the other week and there was definitely a lingering cigarette-type smell afterwards (I used to smoke so I recognise the smell of stale cigarette smoke and this smelt just like it).

It was so reminiscent of cigarette smoke that I felt the need to tell DH what the smell was in case he thought I had been having a crafty fag!

My money's on ghost too. Has it gone yet?

We used to get this in a former home and it turned out to be road fumes coming in open windows.

Are you near a main or busy road?

I get the whiff of fags in my bedroom if I leave the window open from people walking past and smoking. Tis horrible.
Also the towels at work stink of ciggy smoke sometimes and no-body can ever work out why, it's really annoying.

Neighbours have a house guest who smokes?

I used some bug spray on my plants today which smelled of cigarettes. Come to think of it people do soak cigarette ends in water and use the water as a plant spray to kill aphids, do the neighbours like gardening?
