cheeky- I do remember there being a LOT of in-fighting at "that" forum, but never really got involved or knew the cause! Who was it whose partner died???

I do think you sometimes need to develop a thick skin on here. It's weird, because sometimes people post something and get nothing but sympathy and jokey responses, other times the whole discussion seems to get very serious and analysed to death! Things can always be taken out of context when they are written down, rather than said face-to-face, so I wouldn't get too worried about it. I personally have the memory of a goldfish, and never remember who said what (unless someone is very nasty to me!)

I a superlovely in RL but even I can be a little opinionated on certain topics. That's what makes MN fun- you don't have to follow the crowd and be all adulating. Tis great.
