Thank you both, it is quite aweful and shocking, it appears to have been an accident. She does have quite a lot of family support, thank goodness, reminds me of how I would have none if the same happened. Their family is wonderful.

I cannot imagine how she will tell her DCs.

She will find a way to tell them, hopefully they will cope with it and get through as a family, have you been to see her yet or did it only happen today?

Happened yesterday, have talked to but not seen her. She is with her mum & DC's. I know there is nothing we can do but feel so absolutely aweful for them. Imagine that this is the first time she'll have to explain death to them too.
