NG - thanks for your kind thoughts. The 'event' is not at all 'sortable', I wish it was However, even though you might not want it to, life goes on ... I am going to have to spend a lot more time in NZ, but for various reasons there isn't anyway I can just 'choose' to only be in one of them This is going to have a big impact on my life and other peoples, but it's just something I am going to have to do... somehow.

My problem with phones isn't that I can't set the alarm & turn off texts, that's easy, it's that I HAVE to be contactable 24/7 so I keep my mobile by my bed, unfortunately people do forget the time difference or assume it's not by your bed so send you inane messages that have me on 'instant alert' in the middle of the night.... it's happening less and less, so I think people are getting the (very gently expressed) message!!

Sorry to hear of the unsortable nature of your trauma - have you vented about it elsewhere, under a namechange? Might be worth thinking about if you haven't anyone else to talk to, despite vile SILs .
Being in Australia myself, I know how ghastly it is to do the journey (Worse from NZ at that) and how expensive so you have all my sympathy.

I haven't posted under a namechange - but I have lurked on the appropriate boards, which has been helpful. Trouble is, they aren't very busy boards and the situation is very identifiable, so I'm sure The Evil/Vile One would find me... and I don't want to change enough details to make it 'different' because that seems 'wrong'...

Instead I chat to people about their issues and distract myself from mine....

Runawaywife - what is it about the speed limits that you are finding hard to remember - maybe TW has some great tips on that too??
