It means "laugh out loud", people. Not anything else.

laughing out loud a lot

larks35 · 22/04/2010 18:58

er... shouldn't that be lolal then?

sterrryerryoh · 22/04/2010 19:02

All this stuff confuses the crap out of me - I read the message boards on the adoption uk websites, and the shorthand there is very much at odds with the shorthand here. For example - BF there means Birth Father, FF means Forever Family, AS is Adopted Son, BC is Birth Child etc. I tell you, if I forget where I am, I seriously misread some threads!!
I'm not a fan of lol much, but I'm a secondary school teacher, and the kids say it ALL the time! Gah!

Ages and ages ago when I first came across (AMerican) forums I though it was:

"Lord Oh Lord"

MamaVoo · 22/04/2010 19:16

I've found those who use lol a lot usually also use babe and hun.

1pregheadpumpkin · 24/04/2010 14:10

BusyMissIzzy · 24/04/2010 14:18

ChippingIn · 24/04/2010 14:19

womblingfree · 24/04/2010 15:44
