and ask what you would covet?

As OP I have decided not to allow coveting health or other people's homes!

It must be an object that you alone would like to own just for it's innate loveliness or because it moves you in some way.

it can not have any innate usefulness or be
a way of
selling your own stuff

feeling bossy I am

I'm sure she does

My mother was really not a nice woman, destroying toys was the least of her faults. I'm guessing you're not like her

Dita - we have bifold doors, so technically a porsche could fit in the lounge

Yummy - I also have the postcard and actually wept when I saw it the first time. It is simply glorious. Would be happy to timeshare, though not too sure about the jobshare - am catholic but not exactly pope-material

Laurie - I'm so sorry about your rabbit. If Mum ever chucked Sally-Ann (my doll) away, I would be DEVASTATED.

I've always deeply coveted the glass case filled with hundreds of stuffed hummingbirds in the Natural History Museum.

I agree re. La Pieta though not sure I could be confronted with a life-sized dead Christ in my sitting-room every day.

Staranise - Why not? Is your husband not like mine? I'm confronted with a life-sized prone husband most of the time.

I covet this feat of engineering beauty. But it might come under useful (although it probably isn't that useful anymore in this day and age). Sometimes I really think I should have been born a boy !

rowing
If I could have this for the family home my DH would be in ecstasy! when not prone on sofa like RJ's
RJ I also wept as it really does express the sorrow of a mother losing a child.
star
the birds too are amazing, one of my fav exhibits there,
actually i also want the fossilised tree trunk at NHM
