to think that Tesco should not be apologising for being closed on Easter Sunday?

Spotted a banner outside my local Tesco this afternoon, apologising for being closed on Easter Sunday. Just struck me that it's Easter Sunday and why on earth are they apologising. Can't remember if they also apologise for not opening on Christmas Day. Seems wrong to me......

I work in a local shop and were open normal hours over easter, only closes on xmas day. And if your shift falls on xmas day then you have to use some of your holiday entitlement for that day, tis crap really.

Definitely not lacking in supermarkets round here. Within a 4 mile radius of our postcode, there are 5 Tesco expresses, 1 normal superstore and 1 'Extra' store.

Wouldn't call this area deprived either (obviously as I live here ) as a good chunk of the estate is massive self builds.

I think maybe it's stayed a One Stop because there's a bit of a backlash against Tesco's locally. They want to turn the Superstore into another Extra store and have recieved massive amounts of resistance from the local residents who think it's big enough already and killing the remainder of the highstreet.

It is tiny too. I've never seen an Express store that small.
