The group is not closed, it is only viewable to those who are members.

bubblerock · 01/04/2010 10:28

Reported!

This group isn't listed on that girls profile, seems a bit weird - was she actively involved or do you think she joined to complain?

PootleTheFlump · 01/04/2010 10:40

I am absolutely for freedom of speech, and for accepting that others have the right to express views that differ widely to my own. However, the incitement of racially motivated hatred and specific acts of violence, is not and never will be acceptable. Most of the statements written on that wall would never, ever be uttered out loud in public and yet people obviously feel they can type them in a public forum with impunity.

secondcoming I think you should send your own reply to that email, as they obviously have a dialogue going with you and will want an individual statement. However, maybe other MNetters who spoke to the Navy/Police have had similar communication or will also use this as a contact.

TBH, I was having a difficult day the other day and that page really upset me, and then I kind of wished I hadn't got so involved, and then I remembered this and think sometimes you have to speak out when you disagree with something.

Oh, and I have no problem with MNHQ deleting some of my earlier posts (none of which contained the names of minors I hasten to add but I did comment on the names of schools as a reaction to previous posts) given they are objective and sensible and I was het up and hormonal! I don't see it as any attack on my freedom of speech at all.

PootleTheFlump · 01/04/2010 10:48

secondcoming my post isn't meant to be unsupportive, it may come across that way. What kind of help would you like?

eatsushi · 01/04/2010 10:49

oops I must have contained the names of minors when I listed the schools and the pupils... apologies but there were so many kids on the site.

bubblerock · 01/04/2010 10:50

Eatsushi - don't you think it's a bit weird though and stands out like a sore thumb compared to her charity stuff and other groups, that's why I wondered if she might have just joined to complain and forgotten about it. Is anyone on here still a member of the group?

borderslass · 01/04/2010 10:51

its still not been removed they must of had hundreds of complaints about it.

eatsushi · 01/04/2010 10:53

Bubblerock she was also engaged to the originator of the group - so no I don't think so. Although she is no longer engaged to the group.

She was listed as the press secretary of the group.

Undertone · 01/04/2010 10:58

Done.

daftpunk · 01/04/2010 10:59

Op; What you see on F/B is the tip of the iceberg tbh...there's tons of stuff on the internet you would consider "offensive"...you can't ban it all.....wasting your time...but if you have got spare time, why don't you work on trying to rid the internet of child pornography....that disgusts far more people and a 1000x more damaging than someone saying "immigrants fuck off"....

bubblerock · 01/04/2010 11:02

It's not showing on his profile either, once a group is private does it not show in peoples pages list? Can't believe it's been going since at least before November!

eatsushi · 01/04/2010 11:02

Bubblerock she was also engaged to the originator of the group - so no I don't think so. Although she is no longer engaged to the founder.

She was listed as the press secretary of the group.

eatsushi · 01/04/2010 11:07

thesecondcoming why don't you email this thread to the Navy?

Lulumaam · 01/04/2010 11:07

daftpunk, i hardly think that as BNP activist , you have the same take on this sort of thing as the majority of posters on here

also, there was a similar thread recently re a website that seemed to be a peadophile site.. it was reported to CEOPS, the police, and to the various charities etc that were supporting it under the guise as harmless site..

so i think it is perfectly legitimate to want to protest against this

even if it is the tip of he iceberg, that deos not mean it should be ignore

zero tolerance

I'm not on F/B...I think F/B is for teenagers or saddos with no mates....I deffo wouldn't join any sites that talk about immigrants all day...[yawn]...what I would do, is vote for a political party who will actually do something....talk is cheap.
