to feel just a little smug that I am eating melon and grapes for breakfast - even though it is (gasp) precut fruit?

That's it, really - I almost never eat breakfast, but today I came upon a box of precut melon and grapes in the fridge, and decided that would make a good breakfast - so am I being good for eating breakfast (and fruit, at that) or have I consigned myself to Mumsnet outer darkness because it is pre-prepared fruit?

HINT Put phone on charge now!

If your Mum says it's risotto then it's risotto! Just don't tell the Italians

That would send my blood sugar too high (gestational diabetes), so it might be good for you, but it wouldn't be for everyone!

I had grilled bacon, an egg and a slice of wholewheat toast.

I have melons and grapes every day for breakfast as ds is really fussy when it comes to fruit but loves melon and grapes. I also have a small bowl of cereal with semi skimmed milk. Fruit on its own wouldn't fill me up. When I'm not pregnant I have a cafetiere of coffee too but I have swapped that for OJ at the moment.

Before ds came along I rarely had breakfast, if I did I would have precut fruit from the office canteen. I couldn't imagine not eating breakfast now, I'm not awake properly until I have eaten.

Dh is just putting my phone on charge for me now. Sometimes he despairs of me.
