my grandpa was given pure heroin in last stage lung cancer - I guess they thought it really didn't matter if he got addicted at that point - quite surprised they gave it to someone for migraine though!

frakkinaround · 23/03/2010 14:52

May I have heroin for my migraines please? The crappy wafer things the doctor gave me don't work and they're competely random I can go months without one and then have three.

By the way I apologise for causing you biscuit related pain, heracles. Have a to help forget about it.

I often wonder about that sort of thing thumbwitch. Why if someone has a terminal disease and is really old should they NOT drink/eat/smoke whatever the fuck they like? I would.

Came across it with my Dad, he died from skin cancer and the doctors told him he had a month or two and to stop drinking/smoking? For the love of God WHY!?.

thumbwitch · 23/03/2010 15:00

that's really bizarre morloth - I can see why people with terminal lung cancer are told to stop smoking (apart from anything else they are usually on oxygen which has a tendency to blow up near naked flame) but other than that, absolutely, why bother now?

Dogandbone · 23/03/2010 15:12

Utmost sympathy, facckinaround. You can understand why she loved it so much. Please check for msg in your diet. It probably won't help you but it was the answer for me. I used to put my head under 2 pillows and have a damp towel on top of the whole lot and still I was sensitive to any light.

I have know people (2), who, on hearing their terminal diagnosis, have retaken up smoking.

I don't want to talk about biscuits. Or cheese.
