herbie no I didn't see that show. However, I cannot see how voting Tory would change things for these people. I do agree that the gap between rich and poor is greater than ever and I'm so angry with Labour for allowing it to happen.

If a party was honest and said yes we'd increase tax, yes we need to make cuts etc etc then they'd get much more definite support than the wishy washy rubbish we are spouted now. Politicians are so desperately chasing "Middle England" (whatever that is), it is so sad.

To be honest I don't know who to vote for. I may well spoil my ballot paper and wish that those who are in a similar dilemma do the same instead of not voting!

He is as much an idiot as the rest of them. Pretends to be all environmentally friendly to get attention and then reverts back to normal when cameras aren't looking. No way would I ever vote for the Tories though.

Winter fuel allowance is a joke. My dad started receiving it when he turned 60, at which time he was still in a well paid job. He really didn't need the money. He joked about spending it on a golf weekend, and yet there are people here who really need it but can't get it. That's not exactly putting the needs of disadvantaged groups first.

I think the problem with Labour is that they need the support of the middle classes to elect them. Wasn't their success in 97 attributed to winning over Mondeo man? I don't think their priority is with the working class anymore. That's why the gap between rich and poor is growing. And Labour are going to have to make big cuts anyway if they get it. I was brought up to think that people like me shouldn't vote Tory but I'm starting to wonder why I should remain loyal to Labour.

I was disappointed at the shockingly low quality of the Trevor McDoughnut/Dave Cameron 'interview'. More like a party political broadcast on behalf of the Tory party.

What did we glean from it? Almost nothing of the policies and plans, but a lot of hot air about what lovely, down-to-earth folk Dave and his missus are. It was seriously crap and pointless.

Is Trevor going to do the same arse-licking exercise for Brown and Clegg I wonder?

MrsC2010 · 15/03/2010 19:56

I'll be voting for him, but then I'm Tory born and bred.

I would be interested to hear more about the Liberals' policies though, but I wouldn't be swayed to Labour in a month of Sundays.
