Took DS (17 months) out for lunch today, just me and him, it was lovely and he was perfectly behaved - not one bit of food on the floor and he even helped me wipe the table clean afterwards

Strawberry flavour ribena

Admitting to old friend that I have a crush on him and him admitting the same back ---> this has been me ever since!

DS doing the "elephant" sign he has made up every time he spots one!

Going out and not wearing a coat

Buying clothes for DS from a shop rather than ebay (can you tell I am feeling flush today??)

bernadetteoflourdes · 05/03/2010 18:50

what makes me happy is sunshine and family, and I would be ecstatic if I could decode all the posts in that Roundup thread below. Ifeel like I have been sent to mnet coventry.

ebayaddict · 05/03/2010 19:20

The sunshine and it being light enough for dc's to play outside for an hour after school.

Surfing the net looking at tent porn and planning our camping trips this summer

dh being on his last late shift this week (10am to 11pm) so I will get to see him this weekend

body pump class and knowing that it's worth a good 3 glasses of wine.

having freinds round for an easy roast and then getting lightly slodhed while the children play on the wii and the adults play monopoly deal

my 7yo beating his dad at monopoly deal and showing that he has my competitive streak

a good days sales in my ebay shop with no narky customers.

mad americans who ask if their bra will snag if they keep their change purse in there with their bosoms. This was an asq that I woke up to this morning.

DH who I just found mending a little figurine that my mum gave me and I had knocked over and broken the head off. I didn't ask he just did it

Cuddles from my dss (especially the 2yo but don't tell my 5yo I said that)

A tassimo decaf and a penguin biscuit

Clean sheets

Swimming...alone...fast...and sailing past the snotty muscle men...me a 15 stone fatty...HAHAHAHAHA

Well, my boss has just made me happy!

We've had a ridiculously busy week and very stressful. He's just e-Mailed me to say 'it takes a special kind of person, to keep a level head under all that pressure, so well done.'

I collapsed in a sqivvering heap when I got in every night, but hey, he doesn't need to know that!

lovechoc · 05/03/2010 19:42

that's easy - sex!

Wigeon · 05/03/2010 19:57

Aww, nice thread. Things which have made me happy today:

finishing an all-day meeting early and skiving off home...

...or rather skiving off home via House of Fraser and getting lovely new Gap baby socks (brand new clothes for DD = big treat)

...and also getting a birthday present for my sister which I think she'll actually like

having a bath with DD at her bedtime - lovely and cuddly

DD (20 months) blowing raspberries into my neck which made farty noises and made both of us laugh a lot

DH cooking supper right now!

chosenone · 05/03/2010 20:01

Spring in the air- or even a glimpse of it
My lil ones laughing and chuckling together
My friends
My job
My DH
Big glass of Red!
Chocolate/cakes
Accomplishing something/sense of achievement

chosenone · 05/03/2010 20:04

and Glee...love it

Malificence · 05/03/2010 20:11

My husband's love for me and DD and vice versa.

DD ( nearly 20) ringing me just to chat - she's at Uni.

Planning holidays, my favourite obsession.

Not having to get up early in the mornings, ever - it's so much more civilised to be able to have a cup of tea in bed at 9am ( amongst other things [wink).

Roaming around National trust places in the summer sunshine, hand in hand with DH.

CSI / Criminal minds / NCIS / Lost / Bones and Big bang theory on TV.

A nice single malt.

A good spanking - well, it is Friday.

Cicatrice · 05/03/2010 20:20

Smell of sleepy toddler in the morning.

A day off work with DS in nursery when I can just do nothing

Cuddling the cat.

Tea - at any time.

My DH - most of the time.

Sunshinemummy · 05/03/2010 20:33

The sound of my 18m DD as she shouts mummy from her cot in the morning.

The way my almost 4yo DS looks all proud that he stayed in bed when he comes in my room in the morning.

Our family snuggles in our huge bed every morning.

The sound of cicadas.

I love arriving on holiday somewhere hot at night and getting off the plane and the feel and smell of the heat.

A vin chaud at the top of a mountain.

Daffodils in the garden.

The baby ducks that appear on the river at the end of our garden every spring.

DS saying 'excue me' and 'thank you mummy'.

Mr Blue Sky by ELO.

A fave film suddenly being on the TV on a rainy afternoon when the DCs are both occupied.

A lie in.

The smell of clean washing.

A long hot bath with candles and soothing music.

Finding an Agatha Christie I haven't read in the library.

Watching my pics on Apple TV.

Shall I stop now...

LittlePushka · 05/03/2010 20:35

Prospect of a whole weekend
stretching out ahead of me
with outdoor play and new bike
with DH being manly with his power tools
and me & DS's getting mucky and tired in the fresh air!
