To worry that my dp left for the shop two hours ago and he is not home yet.

Shop is a ten minute drive away, he had a list with about ten items on and he is not one to hang around.

I am feeling a bit sick with worry.

He has not taken his mobile.

Ah, now I can understand that. DH tried to find spring onions in Tesco the other day and wandered around for ages near the onions looking perplexed. (They are with the salad stuff)

thehillsarealive · 20/02/2010 22:36

haha well just dont send him to do the weekly shop then or he will be in there all day long!

Enjoy your picnic tomorrow and chuck an apple puff to me please.

wastwinsetandpearls · 20/02/2010 22:37

yes he is still muttering about salad onions.

Supermarket shops always take me about an hour longer than I would like. It's why I prefer doing it online and why I would always pop to the Spar instead if I only need one thing like bread/milk. Otherwise I'll end up coming back from Tesco three hours later frazzled and with six bags full.

Brave you for going on a picnic in February! It's minus one here and snow's expected during the night..

wastwinsetandpearls · 21/02/2010 00:15

I always take hours in the supermarket he is usually in and out which is why I was worried.

It is a picnic for a point to point meet, but I think snow is forecast so we may be in the car!

You must have been so relieved when he pulled up. Hope you have a great picnic!

Wastwinsetandpearls I'm really glad he's OK. It's such a horrible feeling.

My very sweet but totally alcoholic ex occasionally used to say he was going to the shop and not come home for 2 days. And this was in the days before mobile phones. He drove me demented.

So glad I'm not with him anymore, but with lovely DP instead!

Enjoy your picnic
