To spend £1200 on a UK holiday

SEems like madness to me.

Two weeks in a static caravan, or rather, a chalet or bungalow on a holiday park.

We want to do one week in one place, one week in another. At the end of July.

£1200 seems a ridiculous amount of money to spend for 3 people on a UK caravan park.

What do you think?

I think our problem is that we want other kids around, and a playground.

Last year we had two weeks in a tent and DS loved it cos there were kids to play with and he just hooked up with some new friends.

If we get a cottage, he's just going to be lonely. More stylish perhaps, but lonelier.

We're thinking of this place for one week:
Isle of wight

That's a rip off! We've got a caravan park on the east coast of Scotland and a week in one of our statics (which sleep up to 6 and are shiny new with all mod cons) is from about £220-£350, depending on the season, and we provide all towels/linen etc. Though electricity and gas are metered. This isn't an advert by the way, I've no intention of telling any internet people where I live!
