When actually I have not been a bitch (sometimes neither has anyone / a lot of people but this is about me me me ), I've actually posted something supportive / factual / just in response but not taking the piss or anything, even if I don't agree with OP.

my personal bug bear is when you are enjoying a nice pedantic thread about a word being used incorrectly and it get's jumped on as being a class issue. Then you feel you have to prove that you aren't a snob by saying how many members of your family wore overalls to work and how poor you were.

Orm think yourself lucky - that can work in your favour if you've said something ill-judged, or indeed posted something rude on the wrong thread.

I believe it was tethersend who coined the phrase "serious sandwich" to describe this. As in :

"I said "'Tis Pity She's a Whore" in a thread about a 5 year old girl, but that goodness no-one noticed as I was in a Serious Sandwich"
