Aww, I like it. Granted, Keira was rather toothy and Matthew McFadyen looked like he was about to burst into tears for most of the film, but he still did it for me.

I LOVE the KK one - way better than the shite that is Alison Steadman and Colin Firth with dimple-woman playing Elizabeth.

Brenda Blethyn was excellent as Mrs Bennet, and I rather liked Donald Sutherland's country gentleman farmer.

Alison Steadman's Mrs Bennett was ridiculous. And I did prefer Matthew McFadyen to Colin Shirt, whose rumoured sex appeal has always been a bit of a mystery to me.

I don't know how costume dramas can date, but they do. One's from the 70s/80s are all very frilly for example.

I much prefer the new Joe Wright version - KK doesn't annoy me at all in it (she does in some other things) and Donald Sutherland is great as Mr Bennet. Really never got the whole Colin Firth mania - he is boring.
