Approx 8 hours to Calais, over with Tunnel or ferry, then 9 hours.

How many overnight stops?

We used to stop and have kipperling just before we went on the ferry.

It's on the Liege ring road, so I think you're going to be on the ring road as you come in to Liege from Lux. It's on the Meuse on the left hand side (get the kids to keep an eye out!). You take the Herstal exit and of course it's easy to find.

Getting back on the motorway though you can't get back on in the direction of Maastricht , so you have to head back towards Liege then come off at the exit, do a loop and back on the road you've just come down. It's only a 10 minute detour but it might freak you out if you're not expecting it and the sat-nav tells a different story!
