Did anyone else see The Wright Stuff this morning? She looks really old now since losing all the weight, I know she has personal ishoos and stuff. She just looked better before, or at least facially she did.

It's her hair. Her face is fine, it's the bad bad hair style that makes her look older.

YANBU - my dh was quite shocked by the pics and reckoned she looked terrible in the 'after' pics and 'normal' in the before ones...oh, he also said "losing that much weight in that time frame - that's just not right, is it?" Gotta love that man

I have read that the skin continues to tighten up for 2 years after losing a lot of weight quickly , so perhaps she will look less haggard eventually.
To lose 30% of your body weight in 5 months seems very drastic

i think she's getting bad prss now for leaving her husband. i'm sure it was nothing to do with the weight. she just felt discontented and often as a result of that, people get the urge to change something ie, lose weight..... and then you feel galvanised into making changes while you feel back in control of your life....

You're all very harsh. She hasn't got a pretty doll face but I think she has a lovely friendly face and she is attractive. Also, she looks a few years older than 34, but not 54 as has been suggested!!!

She needed to lose weight and she's worked really hard to do just that. Why can't she be applauded for this? Personally, I think she's lost a bit too much for a woman her age and it has aged her but that's her decision. She'll probably pop a bit back on anyway.

On her dvd it says you can lose weight like Hannah in 10 mins a day. What utter tosh! More like two hours a day.

Having a few times lost weight in the past (have been everything between a size 8 and a 14/16 after DD) I used to hate it when people praised me for losing weight and getting tiny because I knew I would never stay that way. My spiritual home is a size 12 and always will be and I sense that Hannah Waterman's is similar.

I thought the same about Natalie Cassidy, that it would all go back on and she would be slaughtered in the media.

I think HW would look lovely as a size 12, as many women do.

Ghouls I agree. It's sad that the lure of the DVD comes upon these girls, because when they do inevitably put some weight back on the headlines start all over again.

It must be terrible damaging to the psyche (allied with the fact that these girls often do the weight loss/DVD thing when they've undergone some major stress or life change).

I was reading her article in Closer the other day - did anyone else think it was a big fat lie that she was 10st 4lb at her heaviest, and that put her at a size 16?

I know she is small, but she is the same height as me - and at 10st 4lb there is no way that A) I looked like her in a bikini, and was I a size 16.

IMO, she looked closer to 12 1/2 stone in the "before" pic, which would put her at a size 16?

Any thoughts?

no way was she a size 16 if she actually weighed 10st 4lb, I was 10st 61/2 lbs when I started weight watchers and I was a size 12 and I'm no way tall (5ft 2)

And if she's a size 10 now I'll eat't my hat! More like a 6-8!!

She had a huge big appley stomach before. She did not look better. She was a real gutlord. Her legs and arms were still pretty skinny though.

Considering the great girth of her belly, she did look a 16 round the waist at least.
