...to think that putting mascara on a three year old is hideous

My three year old DSD turns up covered in make up by her mummy dearest, mascara, blusher, eye shadow, glittery stuff. I can cope with the pretty glitter and pink cheeks (to a point) but the mascara just looks so hideous and Little Miss Beauty Pageant. AIBU?

Yes, they're good. One of my favourites is Up For It! The modelling scouts love it.

pagwatch · 08/01/2010 16:04

(yep. feeling crappy. A few moments MN to cheer me up then off to bed with my snottiness and general coughing.
Dh is home early tonight. I'll be better tomorrow.

waves sodden hanky )

Emerald? I thought the burgundy/black thing was still going?

Hullygully · 08/01/2010 16:06

You are so last year.

(have a posset and a toddy)

pagwatch · 08/01/2010 16:06

If you have pain relief you could get a "don't ask me, I'm still stoned' babysuit.
That would raise a chuckle with the in-laws

MintyCan · 08/01/2010 16:24

blast it ! is black over [ Minty rushes to remove the black nail polish from her darling seven year olds fingernails]

Poor old paggykins mmmwaaahh

Hullygully · 08/01/2010 16:28

Let us send her some woo, Minty

MintyCan · 08/01/2010 16:30

We could post her some crystals ?

Hullygully · 08/01/2010 16:31

mentho crystals I think. I shall cast a spell too.

pigletmania · 08/01/2010 17:01

YANBU mascara on a young child , nasty. Its horrid and sticky and a bum to get off why would a child need it!

Cyclops · 08/01/2010 17:25

But green is so witch-like, surely a ravishing shade of red would be more appropriate??

catastrojb · 08/01/2010 17:32

dd (9 months) already has the lipstick {mwah} sorted - and no worries about lipstick on her teeth. she prefers black nails too - should i be worried, hully? (am i still in your bad books?) perhaps i'm breeding an emo baby...

Ronaldinhio · 08/01/2010 17:43

can you still get stick on fake nails?

what about a natty fake 'tach on a dss?

so many options so little time

Hullygully · 08/01/2010 17:53

It's emerald. Nothing else will do. Catas, I wouldn't be at all surprised

mumof2rugrats · 08/01/2010 17:57

i have 2 dd dd1 6.6 dd2 2.6 dd1 got quite a bit of make up for xmas and i have put it away till she is older i let the girls have there nails painted and where lip gloss but nothing else its stupid to let a baby wear make up

GibbonInARibbon · 08/01/2010 18:47

If you have pain relief you could get a "don't ask me, I'm still stoned' babysuit.

lmfao

catastrojb · 08/01/2010 19:14

lol gibbon - i want one for dd!

hully, i am humbled by your magnanimousness ().

perhaps i'll get thick eye-liner a-la amy winehouse tattooed on dd to save her the bother of having to have it taken off each evening.

I like "Should Have Stuck To Anal" @ Hullgully Enterprises.

MrsWembley · 08/01/2010 20:01

I want to get my DD the 'All Mummy wanted was a back rub' tee-shirt. That and the 'I'm the reason Daddy drinks'.

He doesn't need a reason.

MrsWembley · 08/01/2010 20:02

BTW, YANBU.

Although DP has just suggested we get DD a belly button ring...

AgentZigzag · 08/01/2010 20:08

I know the thread isn't about this, but have you got a link for the t-shirts please pixie? Not cos I want to buy one but I like to make an effort to complain about them when/if I can.

Southwind · 08/01/2010 20:11

I think I just p'eed meself a little reading this

(Oh and also YANBU 3yr olds should not wear mascara.....no matter how ugly they might be)

MrsWembley · 08/01/2010 20:23

Agent - this website has enough people complaining, honestly, your voice would be unheard amongst all the Daily Mail readers/American evangelicals out there.

Oh, link between the thread and this website - a tee-shirt that makes a lewd comment about the Olsen Twins...

Kids and make-up do not mix.
