to be annoyed with MNHQ's description of the Schools closed thread in Discussions of the Day?

IF you'd bothered to read the thread, MNHQ, you would have seen that it's NOT the teachers who make the decision to close schools, so it's pretty poor of you to call teachers "snow wimps".

I'm still annoyed over when you said ginger-bashing was "acceptable" as well (it isn't), but this is getting silly.

A bit more sense and sensitivity in your descriptions please - people are obviously posting on these threads for them to be discussions of the day without you being all contentious about it!

Hi ThumbleBells - our intention was more to raise the question of whether teachers are snow wimps or not than to assert that they are indeed snow wimps - hence the question mark. It is a question asked on the thread (albeit, as you say, refuted by many)
But we take your point and definitely didn't mean to offend, so apologies to teachers - we don't think you are wimps at all (snow or otherwise).

So tell us, all you would-be Sun newspaper subs, how can we improve it whilst keeping it eye-catching and fun ?
