to be annoyed with MNHQ's description of the Schools closed thread in Discussions of the Day?

IF you'd bothered to read the thread, MNHQ, you would have seen that it's NOT the teachers who make the decision to close schools, so it's pretty poor of you to call teachers "snow wimps".

I'm still annoyed over when you said ginger-bashing was "acceptable" as well (it isn't), but this is getting silly.

A bit more sense and sensitivity in your descriptions please - people are obviously posting on these threads for them to be discussions of the day without you being all contentious about it!

Casserole · 05/01/2010 18:47

My MIL is lamer than youse...

...that sort of thing?

auntycorny · 05/01/2010 18:49

I'm sure I could start a lamer thread. But I can't be bothered.

auntycorny · 05/01/2010 18:50

My hamster is lamer then youse

  • see I'm even copying Casserole's idea. How lame is that?
pagwatch · 05/01/2010 18:52

I used to be lame but I don't seem to quite manage it these days.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 05/01/2010 18:54

lol @ all the posts telling the OP that she should try NM is she can't face hear............I think the OP has been around quite a lot longer than a few of you

Casserole · 05/01/2010 18:55

Oh, well that changes EVERYTHING

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 05/01/2010 18:56

and actually on this occasion I do actually agree with the op on this thread.

The OP on the snow thread doesn't really hint at wimpishness anyhow.......in any of her posts on that thread

So that's not really the jist of the thread

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 05/01/2010 18:57

oh come on - some of the posts strongly hint that they think she's a sappy newbie who doesn't know what MN is really like

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 18:59

do you get extra points for being on here longer then?

Ok. OP you are not being unreasonable. I thought your OP was lame nonsense but that was before I realise that you have been here a while. I now realise that it was true and clever and not at all an over reaction to MNHQs throw away tag line

Thanks.

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 19:00

actually I need no such excuse. Been writing twatty OPs for aaages

tethersend · 05/01/2010 19:01

I'm a ginger teacher who's bee here less than a year; imagine how maligned I am.

Do I win £5?

auntycorny · 05/01/2010 19:01

Yes I can vouch for that.

tethersend · 05/01/2010 19:02

And I have a broken 'n' key.

auntycorny · 05/01/2010 19:02

(Pag's twatty ops that is)

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 19:03

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 05/01/2010 19:03

Now look here, I will simply not stand for anyone maligning Thumble. The end. And you other lot, you know who you are, there is a wedding waiting for you...

catinthehat2 · 05/01/2010 19:05

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 19:05

I will adjust my gimp mask and sally forth. (just have to make DHs supper first)

And I knew it was my twatty ops you were sneering at corny [catsbumface]

pointydig · 05/01/2010 19:05

pagwatch · 05/01/2010 19:06

But also.
Not maligning Thumble. Just her wimpy OP. I am sure she is thrusting and vibrant

Jamieandhismagictorch · 05/01/2010 19:09

And hully - don't start all that again

auntycorny · 05/01/2010 19:09
