And I'd been wondering what to do with those scooters....that's some ecocraftical brilliance there

PoppityMerryGentlemen · 17/12/2009 12:38

Oh, I have to go (by horse and cart obv.) to my DDs Christmas party (organic turkey shaped tofu and medieval parsnip pudding)

Keep up the good work crafters

GrimmaTheNome · 17/12/2009 12:41

Scooters? You need a bicycle to efficiently power a washing machine.

If you're going to do it, do it properly FFS

gorionine · 17/12/2009 12:45

Not necessary Grimma., mine is actually will powered, I only used the scooters to make the drum, it took time but with a bit of patience and lots of skills...

Miggsie · 17/12/2009 12:53

I think THE most important life skill for a woman is either:

have a dad who is a millionaire

OR

Marry a millionaire

And then go on telly and say how perfect you can make everything.

Kirsty and Nigella...don't you just Love them?

crankytwanky · 17/12/2009 14:52

grimma, lots of tips in here

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 14:55

I fashion all my own baubles out of gold silver and diamonds. It is much cheaper than buying them ready made. I have my own little studio in the back garden - you should try it.

pagwatch · 17/12/2009 15:04

Does anyone remember that sunday supplement couple who were spending christmas on the beach and carving chritmas gifts and decorations out of driftwood?
It is all coming back to me with these threads..

expatinscotland · 17/12/2009 15:11

I agree with Miggs.

Only I'll add the skill of:

Dad as millionnaire
THEN
Marry another millionnaire

Revel in your smuggery and spend your life in that blissful universe that runs parallel to reality for the other 99% of the human population.

Riven inspired recipe - real fairies as well wonderful idea.

Lilly what a brillinat link it has inspired me to knit some tiny silver goats to put on the christmas table this year. They will look beautiful next to my gilded pears.

pagwatch · 17/12/2009 15:38

Minty
perhaps your Santa is only droopy with you?

I use wax from the ears of a virgin.

NicknameTaken · 17/12/2009 15:40

Earwax is far more environmentally friendly, you know, Riven.

MrsSantaChemist · 17/12/2009 15:42

This year I intend to throw my own real 12ft Christmas Tree (complete with decorations) using the pottery wheel I fashioned from cat hair and bits of twig from the garden.

Katz · 17/12/2009 15:43

i know this is a tongue in cheek thread but i can actually make glass and have blown a vase and several other items! never made a bauble though.

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 15:46

MintyCandyCane · 17/12/2009 15:47
