Like the little boy in those films... you know the ones.... the boy who doesn't like his nanny....

YABU. She is a 3 year old child. And a very pretty 3 year old child to boot.

spicemonster · 13/12/2009 09:51

There is no need to keep children in the public eye as much as she is. Most celebs manage to shield their children from publicity.

MaggieAnFiaRua · 13/12/2009 10:14

So should they leave her at home when they go out, just in case somebody takes a photo of her?

When katie h is caught looking straight into the camera, she looks slightly exasperated and uneasy if you ask me.

spicemonster · 13/12/2009 10:17

I can't remember seeing quite so many other photos of celeb kids. Most of their parents seem quite adept at keeping them out of the public eye, something that TomKat seem to be incapable of. Wonder why that is

MaggieAnFiaRua · 13/12/2009 10:20

it's out of their hands. the photographers follow htem night and day for pictures of suri.

they probably (wrongly) assumed that eventually the photographers would stop taking pictures of a 3 year old.

personally, i think it's better that they do what they do as a family and ignore the paps (suri herself unaware of them i'm sure). It would be giving in and letting the paps win if they left the child at home with a nanny just in case somebody photographed her.

Bonsoir · 13/12/2009 10:30

Suri Cruise is has a super-severe case of celebrity PFB. Poor child! Hope that her inheritance will cover the therapy bills...

blueshoes · 13/12/2009 10:55

Why isn't her face pixelated out? The media seem to do that for other celeb children, but not for Suri.

SofaQueen · 13/12/2009 11:21

I feel a bit sad when I see pictures of her - a little girl always dressed up and is traipsing around in heels, surrounded by grown-ups and constantly hounded by the media.

Violet Affleck also has 2 famous parents, but she is allowed to be "normal" despite the paparazzi also following her around. She wears play-appropriate clothing, goes to the park, and always looks happy.

Suri stand out amongst all the celeb kids out there, and not in a good way.

TheFoosa · 13/12/2009 11:23

Suri Cruise definately looks like she's in charge

there is a steely glint in her eye

I'm always fascinated with her outfits though, she must have a massive walk-in wardrobe, no Primark for that girl

PoppityMerryGentlemen · 13/12/2009 11:33

Hmm, I don't know. It's very easy for the media to twist things, and tbh if I had the money then my DD (3 also) wod probably have a walk in wardrobe- she'd love it, and so would I!

However Tom Cruise is a obviously a loon-level thetan, which can't be good.

PoppityMerryGentlemen · 13/12/2009 11:34

*would (oops)

lolapoppins · 13/12/2009 11:36

It is mainly down to scientology though. They don't believe children are any different from adults, so treat them as if they were grown up.

I don't understand the obsession with the child the media has.

HappyChristmasFromKimi · 13/12/2009 11:39

Hows would you like it if someone said your child looked scary/funny/ugly.

Very odd post

yummyyummyyummy · 13/12/2009 11:39

YABU and downright nasty to talk about a 3 yo like that

wolfear · 13/12/2009 11:51

She's probably just freaked out with all the cameras going off in her face and gaggle of strange paps constantly following her around. The clothes and heels are laughable though. She will never know 'normal'.

nigelslaterfan · 13/12/2009 17:27

It's the dressing her up all the time and letting her be photographed. Why is she the only one who is allowed? Because they've sold her out from that first Vanity Fair cover she's public property.
It's just selling your soul to the devil I think. Loads of slebs don't do it. Tomkat don't need dosh but they are a global uberbrand and suri is the icing on the cake. It's just so cynical.

I can't believe so many of you read the Daily Hate

nannynobnobs · 13/12/2009 19:09

I think she looks adorable and her outfits are lovely (they better be at that price). It would be good to see her covered in finger paint or spaghetti sauce once in a while though, like my 3yo dd! I bet she doesn't do shockingly long, floorboard rattling guffs like mine just did either

MamaLazarou · 13/12/2009 19:30

I had to Google for pics as I don't read the Daily Outrage myself

YABU. She looks like a perfectly normal 3 year old child to me.

The heels, lipstick and earrings are pretty hideous, though. Fine for dressing-up at home, but not for outdoor wear, IMO.

pispirispisloveschristmas · 13/12/2009 20:05

SofaQueeen, I just googled and saw some pics of Violet Affleck - you're right, she looks so happy, and normal. I really can't imagine what the childhood of a little girl like Suri Cuise's would be like. Hollywood just seems to me like cloud cuckoo land.

pispirispisloveschristmas · 13/12/2009 20:07

Whoops! Corrected "Cruise" at the last minute there, so read my second post only if you prefer correct spelling.

scottishmummy · 13/12/2009 20:15

she is a wee girl leave her alone

her short arse stack heel dad
and pallid mum are fair game

she isnt

Vivia · 13/12/2009 21:57

Scottishmummy put it perfectly

I should add in her parents' 'defense' that the $2 million wardrobe was not bought and selected but rather sent to Suri by designers who want to see her photographed in their creations.

spicemonster · 13/12/2009 22:34

Vivia - I'm sure loads of celebs' kids get sent clothes. I don't think anyone puts a gun to their parents' heads to make them wear them though.

I was thinking today about the big name movie stars with kids and you don't even see their kids. Johnny Depp - 2 kids, no idea what they look like. Tom Hanks has kids from both his marriages, again, never seen them. Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts ... I could go on.

It is the Cruises who put Suri in the public eye
