To be angry at being "checked out" by other dads on the school run?

I dread the school run, i'm not really stunningly beautiful or anything but do get looked at by other dads while they're waiting for their children -HOW BLOODY INAPPROPRIATE - what a bunch of desparados.
So I try to look as 'ordnary' as possible, maybe I should change schools [hmm}

oh fgs get real
its the most excitmeent that happens all day

paisleyleaf · 19/10/2009 17:56

It's one of those situations when you don't know who's staring at/checking out who.
How do you know they keep looking at you?
By keep looking at them?
Maybe they're wondering what you're looking at....or think you're checking them out.

iLikeDots · 19/10/2009 18:04

Are you sure they won't staring because because you had tucked your skirt into you knickers by mistake after going to the loo before said school run?? Happens to the best of us........

VictoriousSponge · 19/10/2009 18:04

or oyu are a minger?

edam · 19/10/2009 18:05

It is jolly rude but by the time you are my age (am old gimmer) and dress size you will be thinking nostalgically of the days when complete strangers used to check you out...

RainRainGoAway · 19/10/2009 18:07

I get checked out by lurkers alot, especially today.
Perhaps this is because I was wearing the same outfit as Cheryl Cole wore on saturday.

Possibly.

I'm voting for deluded. These men are all parents - they are there to collect their kids not check out hot totty.

Unless this is you on the school run? in which case you may have a point....

OrmIrian · 19/10/2009 18:29

God yes it is so annoying isn't it?

KimiTheThreadSlayingAxeKiller · 19/10/2009 18:33

Maybe they think they have seen you somewhere before

Mallenstreak · 19/10/2009 18:36

I once saw a mum get loads of looks on the school run.She was wearing a really short skirt but had a ring mark from the toilet seat showing on her legs and thighs!!!

hobbgoblin · 19/10/2009 18:38

I agree it is such a downer to be admired each morning. Makes me a bit cross too. I mean, how VERY dare they?

Northernlurker · 19/10/2009 18:45

There was a bloke who got stared at at our school - but that was because he was in Coronation Street and everybody was trying to work out why he look so familiar. I bet that's it actually - have you been in the Bill or Holby City perchance?

hobbgoblin · 19/10/2009 18:46

Or Band of Gold maybe?

kittybrown · 19/10/2009 18:57

Lol Mallenstreak.
I must admit I don't mind being admired but ds's friends dad cannot stop ogling my breasts. He can't look me in the eyes at all. I must admit they are pretty big [wink. Surely he is capable of self restraint. He's also made a couple of salacious comments about my boots. It doesn't make me cross just weirds me out!

poshsinglemum · 19/10/2009 19:03

YABVU- I would love to get oggled on a regular baisis. In fact I do- and I revel in it!

ZZZenAgain · 19/10/2009 19:05

I'm not so sure that those men who look in an obvious manner can switch it on and off according to what situation they are in. I don't really know but I think the oogling type will oogle if you have what attracts him, wherever you might happen to be.

Hassled · 19/10/2009 19:08

God I can't even remember the last time I was checked out. It wasn't in this millennia. Count your bloody blessings.

CybilCeremony · 19/10/2009 19:10

Havent read posts...but I LOVE being checked out. Cheers me right up.

ZZZenAgain · 19/10/2009 19:10

ha ha oogle

well you know what I meant. i also like the sound of oogle

(They look at boobs hassled, you have not been displaying them sufficiently)

CybilCeremony · 19/10/2009 19:11

I check the dads out too.

ZZZenAgain · 19/10/2009 19:11

actually when I read the thread title, I thought it was a dad posting

OrmIrian · 19/10/2009 19:13

I work with someone who holds conversations with my norks. Never looks above chest level. Most odd.

BouncingTurtle · 19/10/2009 19:19

I can't believe how horrible you all are being to the OP!!

I'm sympathasies.. happens to me all the time I have to beat them off with a stick when I take ds to nursery.

Perhaps it is because I look like this I bet you and I could be brothers sisters!!

Yey finally got to use a Halloween link.
