DH thinks its a girls coat??? I think it would look lovely on any little person!

Now, a hat and scarf to match??? Plain red or plain blue????

This post should probably be in style and beauty!

YANBU. Also it is lovely.

Romanarama · 19/10/2009 07:55

I would say it's a boys' coat. Don't think that my 7yo would like it much, but the 5 and 3 yos would both be delighted with it. Most of the girls I know wear either nice pastels or hideous puce. Not red and not stars.

sherby · 19/10/2009 07:59

It looks like a girls coat, but you could pull it off on a little boy if he was not conventional looking. Sorry that makes no sense, I didn't want to say if he is cool but that is what I meant

I know some little boys who could pull it off but others that would look ridiculous

girlsyearapart · 19/10/2009 08:11

Is a lovely coat.
More of a girls coat though I think..

Know what you mean Sherby.

southeastastra · 19/10/2009 08:13

looks like dressing gown design, boy could get away with the brown, the red is just ugly imo

BouncingTurtle · 19/10/2009 08:25

I would put my DS in the red coat (he is 22mo).

I wouldn't pay £36 for it though!!!

Probably me just being tight, but I tend to buy most of DS's clothes from Asda & Tesco, or Empire if there is a sale on!

PuppyMonkey · 19/10/2009 08:33

Perfect for a little girl.

pigletmania · 19/10/2009 08:39

£36 for a childs coat that isent that special is a lot. Looks like it came from H&M,Matalan or Tesco to me. It is nice but not wonderful that i would pay that much for it.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 19/10/2009 08:43

Sorry, it's not my bag.

123andaway · 19/10/2009 08:46

Fine for a toddler boy. I think it's lovely. I wouldn't put an older boy in it though.

Firawla · 19/10/2009 08:48

i think its okay for a toddler boy, but would prefer blue. i dont think stars are just for girls, blue with stars would be nicer than they have just blue with white dots

ilovemydogandmrobama · 19/10/2009 08:52

DD has the Toby Tiger stars rain coat and matching wellies, which of course will look equally adorable on her younger brother...

Guad · 19/10/2009 08:54

I think it's sweet. Ds2 has a similar one from Adams but's green with blue stars. He's 2.5 now but we bought it last summer.

susiey · 19/10/2009 08:56

I would put it on my son and don't think its girly

I love red on my dd and my ds

teafortwo · 19/10/2009 08:56

... fab fab fun coat shown on a boy on the main 'jackets and gilets' page but also good for a girl too!

Buy it... buy it... buy it!!!!

zebramummy · 19/10/2009 09:35

well it depends on whether you have a pretty boy or not - i do, at age 4 he still gets mistaken for a girl at the park.

it is a nice enough coat but i would not buy it without shopping around first, as there are lots of other 'designer labels' doing absolutely gorgeous clothes including oilily, cakewalk etc.

diddl · 19/10/2009 09:55

Well, the price would put me off, tbh!

But I do like young children in bright coloured coats.

Will admit to a penchant for dufflecoats.

FlightAttendant · 19/10/2009 10:00

Lovely but too ££!

FlightAttendant · 19/10/2009 10:00

ds2 has got one from gap that is dark blue with tiny pink/green apples on.

Twintummy · 19/10/2009 10:34

Really wish I hadn't followed the link. Lovely clothes!

I'd put one of my boys in it.

Disenchanted3 · 19/10/2009 10:37

WHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYY

Did you show me that site?!

I want everything!

nulgirl · 19/10/2009 10:38

Saw a little boy in it today. He was wearing it with a green scarf. Now thinking about buying it for my ds as I love him in red.

Am sick of navy or sludge brown. Had a bad experience shoe shopping yesterday as I ended up with a pair of brown shoes with orange beetles on them. So not what I wanted.

ruthosaurus · 19/10/2009 10:46

I wish I hadn't looked, you bugger, now I have to buy it for DS. And my god-daughter. And my niece. And my godson. And possibly me, if I magically shrink a lot.

Arse.

pigletmania · 19/10/2009 11:22

just looked at the website, very expensive for what they are, you can get similar for cheaper elsewhere, i got my dd some lovely things in the Debenhams sale last week, and paid e.g. £8 for a pair a Jasper Conran cords with embrodery on (oops sp) not over £20 from Tobytiger, and a lovely John Rocha winter coat for £20 that looks much nicer than that coat with stars on it.

pranma · 19/10/2009 11:38

There is a blue spotty version too
