Fuck sake.

New leather bag, new leather purse, sat nav, nintendo dsi, ?100, mp3 player, make up bag, new kids glasses (picked up today!), ebook, phone, driving license, debit/credit cards. Cunting fucksticks.

AND I can't find the home insurance docs to make sure I'm covered. Head is wrecked and I can't make head nor tail of the online policy booklet. AND cunting bastard useless bank aren't able to tell me if my debit card has been used until Monday. Cunts

Weirdly reassuring, yet worrying at the same time that They know so much about us.

scottishmummy · 17/10/2009 23:26

weird reassuring yes.apparently they know usual habits

what alerted them was

  1. store never used
  2. out with my usual hours

i had went for lunch with colleague.i am usually lunch at work. on rare occasion i got out bag dipped

glastocat · 17/10/2009 23:31

Yes cards are stopped, and I'm happy to say there was no money in my purse! I had got 100 euro out a few hours before, but went into Marks to get dinner and ended up spending 70 euro! Then went to pick up two fabulous Turkish cushions that cost 60 euro to get stuffed (put down 30 euro deposit last week and paid the balance today). So at least the bastards didn't get any cash.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 17/10/2009 23:33

Sorry that you've had all this stuff stolen, but... why the hell would you carry around so much valuable stuff????

Sorry, I know that's not helpful.

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 17/10/2009 23:35

I'm very sorry, but I've read your OP again,. and there is no way in hell I would even let go of a bag like that (guessing bag + contents worth well over £1K) in a kids playground?

glastocat · 17/10/2009 23:36

What valuable stuff would you suggest I leave behind? Purse? Phone? Bag? Glasses? Ebook? Credit card? Phone? Seriously question, but what is the point of having this stuff if you just keep it indoors?

OP posts:
glastocat · 17/10/2009 23:38

I didn't 'let go' of anything. It was beside me on the bench and my arm was through the straps, so I'm guessing the strap was cut.

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 17/10/2009 23:38

in my bag i have filofax,iPod,make up,purse, cards, photos, travel card

read somewhere cost of replacing handbag and contents was high on like for like

sorry about your rotten experience.hae another drink

glastocat · 17/10/2009 23:39

And I live in Cork , not exactly the Bronx. The cops told me there were precisely ywp bags stolen today, to their knowledge.

OP posts:
glastocat · 17/10/2009 23:40

TWO not ywp. Fuck sake.

OP posts:
IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 18/10/2009 00:19

Well.. managed all day today with my purse and my phone. How on earth that's possible I can't imagine?

Sometimes I have my camera and iPod in my bag,. When I do, it's over my shoulder the whole time. Wouldn't dream of leaving it anywhere, even a kids park.

I did used to live in South London though, so maybe it's rubbed off.

Feel really shit for you though if the straps were cut. That does make for a special kind of arsehole

I'm being a bitch, sorry

jasper · 18/10/2009 00:35

Thieves are the lowest of the low

agedknees · 18/10/2009 09:27

Why should we not have things we like in our handbags just because there are thieving low life around?

I have had 2 handbags stolen (both at work). I was nursing one of the thieves mothers at the time (he used my credit card and the police got him by CCTV).

You work hard for the things you have, why should someone just come along and take it.

glastocat · 18/10/2009 10:19

Well I also used to live in South London. Still got my bag stolen though. And I live somewhere much nicer now.

I have woken up even more fucking pissed off. Fucking lowlife theiving scum.

OP posts:
glastocat · 18/10/2009 10:23

And thank you agedknees and others. I do work hard for my stuff, although the ebook was a 40th birthday present, and the nintendo was my kid's birhday present. And the bag ws a once in a lifetime treat. after a terrible year.

So anyone wo thinks I was somehow carrying two much nice stuff can just fuck off

EccentricaGallumbats · 18/10/2009 10:25

Fuckers.

Some bastarrd stole my bag a few months ago from my house - walked in through the unlocked front door and just picked it up.

a month later the police rang to say the bag had been found 3 miles away - probably flung out of a car window - got my bag, purse, cards etc back but my phone, DHs phone, my camera and DDs DS were all gone (and my wii fit but that wasn't in my bag to start with).

So lets hope you may at least get some of your stuff back.

Fucking fuckers.

glastocat · 18/10/2009 10:25

too not two. ARGHHHHHHHH

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 18/10/2009 10:30

yeah I mean ffs, why not have a go at her while she's down!

what a pita for you glasto. I once had my car stolen when it was PACKED full of stuff because I was moving house. I had literally parked up and popped out to pick something up from the corner store. I was devastated! Had everything from my room (computer) plus loads of furniture etc. etc. Gah!

Kbear · 18/10/2009 10:41

Nothing fills me with more rage than people that steal other people's stuff.

Did you contact your insurance company yet? If you can't understand them blurb just call and ask them if you are covered for these things. Usually you are covered for stuff outside the home I think. Have you got receipts for the expensive items?

glastocat · 18/10/2009 10:48

Yes I called the insurance but the fuckwit on the phone said she didn't know if I was covered, and there was no-0ne able to tell me until Monday! I have found receipts for the for the nintendo and ebook but nowt else.

OP posts:
glastocat · 18/10/2009 10:49

God, how shitty to get your car stolen though! I hopen there is a special circle of hell for these bastards.

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 18/10/2009 10:51

My sympathies. Hope you have cancelled all your cards etc.

(Some junkie bitch stole my wallet when I was in hospital a few years ago. The staff all knew it was her but couldnt prove it. My family had to run round doing all the damage-limitation and replacement on cards and ID etc.)

SparklyGothKat · 18/10/2009 11:04

for you. My mum had her bag stolen when we were camping once, she didn't care about the bag, purse or money, but the photos of us as kids, and a pen that my dad had brought her.

What upset her the most was the fact that it was a hot night and I had my sleeping compartment open and the thieves would have seen me asleep, I was about 13 at the time.

I had my camcorder stolen from my house, I don't know when just realised it was missing when I went to use it
