Picked DD up from a friend's house last night. Asked friend if she would like to go swimming at the weekend. Friend said no, I had my belly button pierced on Saturday and don't think it is a good idea to go swimming just yet (lifted up top to show me belly button bar).

I think my jaw just dropped. That is too young isn't it? I am not just an old fart am I?

Btw, as soon as dd got in the car I said 'don't even ask'

My mum took me to get my belly button pierced after many, many months of pleading and begging when I was 12. Looking back, that was FAR too young and I can't believe she gave in.

I've since had 29 piercings and 23 tattoos though, so it started a trend with me
