totally agree CLib - I think you are right about LW's reason for putting them through - they have clearly got people talking and that is good for the X factor ratings. I also believe he put them through because they are Irish, but who knows maybe SC is "in on this" as well and his posturing about not liking them in all for good tele. I suspect there is a lot more of this goes on than we realise. Take for instance Cheryl wondering off to "think through" her decision - very contrived I thought.

Anyway I agree it isn't really fair to be hating the twins. I find them hugely annoying and they obviously come from priveleged backgrounds - huge house and private school. You are so right in saying they have huge egos and no talent but I suspect they are going to appeal to young girls and my grand daughter is one of them! Loved the comment about them resembling the Tweenies.

I will be glad to see the back of them and they really do annoy me.
