I recently heard that Facebook may start charging a monthly/annual fee to members who use this site. I personally don't use it but DH does and he just shrugged when I told him about it.

It is just a rumour at the moment, but if it happens, I can't help feeling quite happy about it. Means less people will be spending their time staring at a computer and putting useless 'updates' on their pages.

I can read up about a topic but choose not to have personal experience of it. I can have an opinion about smoking or about mental health or about anorexia, but not have personal experience of those pixinanny.

let's just agree to disagree.

YABU. I don't use Facebook myself at the moment but am thinking of joining. A lot of my family do use it including Dh. It's a great way to keep in contact with friends and family. I know my sister uses to keep in contact with her son who's in the USA. My 8o year old Mum has just joined so she can keep in touch with people. She is going deaf so finds it difficult to hear on the phone and sometimes finds rtexting fiddly. Also DD19 who's at uni at the moment and using it a lot would probably pay the fee and that will use more of her money and she can't aford to do that.
