I agree, it's a very clever advert. Would be quite sweet if it was for Pampers. Just makes me that they seem to so blatantly try and avoid the ban on advertising stage one formula (check out the lie-flat pram in the background) [Disclaimer - am not anti-formula. But the ban on advertising it is there for good reasons.]

Agree with you Brigit, that advert is just creepy somehow - it's for laptops, wtf?? Trying to make them look like sweeties or something - oh treat yourself to a four hundred quid laptop.

LOL great thread

ProfYaffle · 11/10/2009 17:18

I quite like the ad for aftershave of some sort (name escapes me) at the moment where said aftershave endows some random bloke with the ability to 'dance to his own beat' which appears to be him lumping around and tapping his shoulder with his eyes shut. Looks like he's just woken up with a dead arm and is trying to get the feeling back. Makes me pmsl every time I see it.

I have never seen some of these adverts, including that one you just mentioned ProfYaffle, I wonder if the are just shown in certain areas (like the south east?)

I remember that ad where they were kissing each other's armpits, I was eating a sandwich at the time and nearly puked...that's when I decided to milk my licence fee to the max and only watch BBC or "on demand" to avoid this sort of thing.

I know my mum's WI group used to compare hysterectories so maybe there IS a certain type of woman who talls her friends about her bowel movements.
