I love her so dearly, she is like an aunty to my children, lifts me when I am down, would do anything for me, we have so much fun and she is generally fab, however, she has bought some imitation crocs. Ok they are only to go in the back garden and smoke when noone will see her, but still. I think I should probably cut all ties, what do you think?
Oh and they have the liittle clip on thingys on them too. If this extra information influences anything, didn't want to drip feed information.

I'm sorry, OP, there is no hope now.

It's kinder to just let her go... she is obviously suffering so much already.

Thinking of you.

JustAnotherManicMummy · 05/10/2009 14:07

Is there a local support group you could join?

Gosh I am actually crying now. You poor, poor thing.

tethersend · 05/10/2009 14:11

This kind of thing just makes me so angry...

They start with Birkenstocks, everyone turns a blind eye and look what happens later down the line. They always end up on the hard stuff. They'll say they can stop, but they can't...

It's tragic.

TheCrackFox · 05/10/2009 14:13

Obviously your friend is suffering some kind of mental crisis at the moment. However, I don't think it is fair you on. You should distance yourself until she has undergone therapy.

thesockmonsterofdoom · 05/10/2009 14:30

OK she is coming round, how do I tell her that I no longer want her in our lives, until she gets herself sorted, is that what they call tough love, I can't enable this behaviour can I?

She's coming round! OMG then you must shoot her.

Tis the only way. She may be contagious

RorysRacingMa · 05/10/2009 14:36

It sounds like there may be hope - she hasn't gotr the fur lined ones yet, so you can help her see the error of her ways before she succumbs to the tempatation of a greater sin.

Do it for her, if you truly care.

Curiousmama · 05/10/2009 14:38

J does have some but his are leather.

stealthsquiggle · 05/10/2009 14:40

Is her garden really really enclosed and not overlooked at all whatsoever [hopeful]?

(in which case then it may be possible to keep this between yourselves until such time as a cure is developed)

TheHeadlessWombat · 05/10/2009 14:41

YANBU.Crocs, imitation or not,are hideous. If you don't put an end to the friendship now she'll soon be inflicting Uggs on you.

thesockmonsterofdoom · 05/10/2009 14:42

OMG just remembered I have another friend who has the fur lined ones, tis spreading.

This is such a sad thread. I feel like getting a lighter and singing something about saving sockmonster's friend. Anyone have Bono or that other annoying Irish Twit's number? This is an appeal that needs funds. Now.

JackBauWooohooohoowaaer · 05/10/2009 15:03

Well I think you are all over-reacting, everyone knows there are at least 10 good reasons to wear crocs.

You are all foot snobs.

TheHeadlessWombat · 05/10/2009 15:57

We just dislike hideously ugly shoes.Nothing wrong with that.

ChilloHippi · 05/10/2009 16:11

Well I have crocs with jibbitz on. I have nothing against crocs. However, I wouldn't be able to be friends with someone who wore fake ones

catinthehat2 · 05/10/2009 16:24

Is your friend a MNetter? Could you discreetly give us a clue to her name so we can , you know, "avoid" threads she's on. (I'm not being judgemental of course.)

Bleh · 05/10/2009 16:28

They're called jibbitz? That is a terrible name. Sounds so rude

JustAnotherManicMummy · 05/10/2009 17:05

Surely they're what come in a little bag when you buy a chicken from the butchers?

catinthehat2 · 05/10/2009 17:15

No, they're triplets

starwhores · 05/10/2009 17:21

Does she wear socks with them?

[sick fetish emoticon]

thesockmonsterofdoom · 06/10/2009 12:30

Thanks for all your support, unfortunatley said friend came round and I paniced and beat her to death with my very pretty high heels, now who knows what to do with a body?

OP posts:
stealthsquiggle · 06/10/2009 13:01

Don't put it under the patio - it's the first place they'll look.

Aren't crocs grounds for justifiable homicide? It might even qualify as a mercy killing...

JustAnotherManicMummy · 06/10/2009 13:28

I'd suggest boiling her up in a vat until she dissolves... but that is how they make crocs and you need to break the cycle.

Perhaps you could wait for rigor mortis to set in, then put her in a wolf fleece and tracky bottoms with the crocs and stand her up outside her back door? No one would notice the bludgeoning with all that going on.

stealthsquiggle · 06/10/2009 13:35

Do you know any pigs who might eat her for you? Don't forget to remove the crocs, though - not even the pigs will eat those.
