To not understand why some people think they have to

post an AIBU about some inane minutia of their lives? It's on par with facebook/twitter updates, where someone feels they've got to inform you they've just had to go out and get some milk before they have their cereal. Some f/b updates I've seen even just have 'hmmmm' or '//////' and people reply!! Perhaps it's just the people I know

Or have I got this all wrong, and it's really about people just wanting to chat and know someone else is out there?

and most of us are mothers so our lives are very important

SardineQueen · 25/09/2009 21:29

Oh yes OP - this thread is an excellent example of how even the most unlikely of threads can prove worthwhile and instructive. I bet you have learnt something here today.

StableButDeluded · 25/09/2009 21:32

at minty yes, how I goggled when they pooped up on the same page!

hatwoman · 25/09/2009 21:32

at sardinequeen. I can't help wonder whether to ask boden woman if she likes dragon butter. The answer might be that she prefers Isigny.

StableButDeluded · 25/09/2009 21:34

Yes, in the space of a few minutes I have learned of the existence of urbandictionary.com, dragon butter, space-docking, peanut butter and jelly (definitely NOT the sandwich) and delaware dragon. Whether I wanted to or not.

SardineQueen · 25/09/2009 21:36

I reckon average boden woman deffo space docking dragon buttering flicking the bean and going at it like a jackhammer monstrous perv a go-go.

That's why they have to have the nicey nicey mummy clothes, to throw people off the scent.

Oh, er, well yes, I had an idea it might be that. I'm not as pure as I thought!

SardineQueen · 25/09/2009 21:43

stable it was a reference to this classic thread enjoy, it's just brilliant.

Horton · 25/09/2009 21:46

Hahahaha at pooped! Sorry, I am v childish.

Some Boden clothes are very nearly as eyewatering as tubgirl et al, but just in a different way.

Rantagonist · 25/09/2009 22:11

SardineQueen lol...oh yes, I have learnt the error of my ways, and some very new meanings of seemingly benign words!! I'll have to be careful not to accidently use them.

I can see now that it's all about social observation rather than random shite, although there are some things on this thread that perhaps I'd rather not observe ta

Thanks for the link SardineQueen, ROFL at that thread. Only got as far as the post about having a withered finger due to too much bean-grinding, then had to stop cos I was laughing so much I was spraying my Snack-a-Jacks all over the keyboard.

SardineQueen · 25/09/2009 22:23

"spraying snack-a-jacks all over the keyboard" sounds like one for the urban dictionary too!

StableButDeluded · 25/09/2009 22:32
