This thread

honestly. I didn't realise so much went in to inviting your mate round for coffee.

i normally have a very open house policy and have people in and out all the time but i think i may have to reconsider now.
god knows what people must think about my own lax housework skills.

of course ladystealth. i'm pretty confident, lots of friends, lovely house (well i think so anyway!) but all of us, in our deepest, darkest, sleep-deprived moments have feelings of self-doubt and angst. this happens to be that day

CrackWhoretoPaulDacre · 14/09/2009 19:26

Haven't read the other thread as I imagine I commit most of the sins... House full of books (most on bookshelves), force my guests to use bar soap (but then I make it myself so it's Luxury soap I tell you, Luxury), and once told a friend to put her shoes back on ("but your feet will get filthy).

Still, visitors annoy me by leaving the lid up on the loo...

Mamazon · 14/09/2009 19:27

borrow them for what? they aren't yet big enough to eat small children

Im getting a sunglow Boa once my friends snake as given birth. cannot wait!

oh no warthog, go and get yourself some chocolate out of the fridge and relax with a book from your over-stuffed bookcase

LadyStealthPolarBear · 14/09/2009 19:29

"Dh wears his shoes into the living room, takes them off and leaves them there. It makes deeply hysterical and I frequently want to bash him upside the head with his precious LeCreuset frying pain."

PMSL - in fact I might nominate that for QOTW

Tea has to be hot not warm please, otherwise no problem

MrsVik · 14/09/2009 19:33

OK, I do keep a reasonably tidy home, but I appreciate it when people take off their shoes when they come in!! I always do it when I visit people. I wouldn't ask, though.

AND I have a free-standing kitchen roll holder.

The horror!!

I don't know what people would think of my cat. He drinks from the tap in the kitchen sink! I hereby resign my membership of the human race :P

noddyholder · 14/09/2009 19:35

My cat drinks from the tap too and if you say the word cheese grabs whatever you are eating from your hand even if it isn't cheese!

TrillianAstra · 14/09/2009 19:52

Can your cats work the taps? Or do they stand the the tap and demand that you run it so they can drink?

differentID · 14/09/2009 19:54

Trillian, mine head butts the tap until it loosens and drips out. Drives me nuts.

TrillianAstra my cat meows constantly until I go and put the tap on (just a dribble). He then glares at me until I leave the room as I am not allowed to actually watch him drink (silly human not realising that drinking is an intensely private undertaking). But at least he always comes and lets me know when he's done!

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 14/09/2009 20:09

'I have judged DMRiven, and found her wanting too' did you ladypolarbear? Which of my many faults did you judge? I must of missed it

Mamazon · 14/09/2009 20:13

i don't care though, quite frankly i don't want people coming over if they're that judgey-pantsy about it!

i make bloody good coffee and cake, and that's the important thing1
