and I often think that if Steven Fry were straight I could go for him too.

David Mitchell, bless him, reminds me of a Moomin. I think he's really funny. Just...well...looks like a Moomin

I worryingly like Alexander Armstrong and Charlie Higson

preciouslillywhite · 09/09/2009 14:03

Who's 50??

...ere (sort of) talking of Peep Show- has anyone noticed that gorgeous Big Suze is marrying a minor royal in RL??

milknosugarplease · 09/09/2009 14:04

oh sorry! hugh laurie is!

AramintaCane · 09/09/2009 14:07

a moomin - its the eyes. I could never quite put my finger on what it was he reminded me of thank you.

preciouslillywhite · 09/09/2009 14:08

Russell Brand is not a sexy fella, or even a comedian, but a mystic stylee wise shaman thingy.Sadly the nation will only realise this when he carks it, and then we'll feel all bad, and it will be like Lady Di all over again.

It would cheapen and demean him to think of him in that way.Pushed against a wall??

tsk.

preciouslillywhite · 09/09/2009 14:11

Oh, goody, milk, was too lazy to go back and do the whole thread. I thought you meant Steven Fry!!Hugh Laurie is lovely.

Mr Fry however is completely up himself cos of his "National Treasure" status

Thunderduck · 09/09/2009 14:14

Robert Webb was a very convincing woman, almost disturbingly so, when he did Flashdance for Comic Relief. Not a bad dancer either.

Curiousmama · 09/09/2009 14:19

for mitchell lovers...he seems quite manly!

Curiousmama · 09/09/2009 14:19

Webb made a more convincing woman than some women I know

Thunderduck · 09/09/2009 14:22

I couldn't listen to David Mitchell's voice for longer than 5 minutes.

wem · 09/09/2009 14:23

I remember reading an interview with Sarah Beeny where she said she got an extra 2 attractiveness points just because she's on the telly.

I think there's a bit of that with fancying David Mitchell. He does seem lovely, and very clever and witty, but he definitely gets extra telly attractiveness points.

AramintaCane · 09/09/2009 14:24

hmm an angry moomin but very cute Curiousmama

Thunderduck · 09/09/2009 14:26

And he really does look like a Moomin.

But I do like him,if only for that homeopathic ER sketch.

TheDullWitch · 09/09/2009 14:27

I've met both M&W and they are nice but not fanciable. Webb is going seriously bald, Mitchell is like the geeky boy at school.

Now the Mighty Boosh boys on the other hand...

preciouslillywhite · 09/09/2009 14:32

Ooooh was hoping the Boosh would get a mention DullWitch- bagsy Julian [carry on type phwooooar emoticon]

TheDullWitch · 09/09/2009 14:34

No Julian is MINE. Honestly he is very sexy, tall and manly. And quietly funny.

You can have Noel. I don t go for them Russell Brand girliemen.

pasturesnew · 09/09/2009 14:42

David Mitchell is ace but I don't fancy him but I like Robert Webb more and more, I loved the way he really threw himself into that Comic Relief dance

preciouslillywhite · 09/09/2009 14:44

I used to love Noel as well, before he started hanging out in the Hawley arms with the slebs, getting mentioned in OK and going on telly all the time...

Julian is a multi instrumentalist. And he's got twins. aaaahhh.

Tambajam · 09/09/2009 14:53

David Mitchell is definitely on my desert island list. (That's someone I'd want to be washed up with on 5 star well-equipped desert island with. Not just someone I would want to go away to live alone on a desert island and leave us all alone.)
I would even be willing to put up with the inevitable knotted hankie.

His podcasts were/ are brilliant.

But as I fancy him that means he is likely to be gay. I have an unfortunate history with this.

MorrisZapp · 09/09/2009 16:14

I love David Mitchell - imo he's the funniest, most intelligent and downright decent guy on telly, and his newspaper columns are spot on too.

I'd love to be his friend, but not his GF. Lovely as he is, I have no urge to snog the guy.

I think I've always assumed he was gay anyway - who knows.

I don't fancy Robert Webb either, could never put some of the grimmer scenes from Peep Show out of my mind

MagNacarta · 09/09/2009 18:33

He is not gay, I don't know this as a fact but I have a good gaydar. Perhaps he has gained additional attractiveness points because he's on tv, but he does also remind me of an ex boyfriend. I suspect he could be wilder than we think if taken in hand by the right sort of woman.

PeedOffWithNits · 09/09/2009 18:45

David Mitchell and Stephen Fry - that classic mixture of intelligence and wit

both lovely and seem very genuine.

Russell Brand and Jonathon Woss - arrogant morons who think they are IT

hatesponge · 09/09/2009 18:56

I am a huge fan of Peep Show (hence my posting name!) As such I must somewhat shaemfully admit that whilst David Mitchell & I went to the same very small college - he was 2 years below me - I do not remember him at all

And whilst I do find his quick wit very attractive, as has already been said you can't really imagine him throwing you on the bed and giving you a good seeing to, and frankly I think that's rather important!

hatesponge · 09/09/2009 18:57

shamefully

can't even spell the word right.....

TsarChasm · 09/09/2009 19:04

David Mitchell yes.

Not Stephen Fry though. I used to like him more but he is annoying me these days.

He seems rather too pleased with himself and rather than parodying pomposity he defines it these days. Hope David Mitchell doesn't go the same way.
