According to the advertiser on the mumsnet talk page this is the perfect outfit for school run at a cost of £1,023. Whilst yes I actually like it, what planet do these people live on?? I need to know because it's no where near here LOL!!

The bag and shoes (especially) are madness for a school run outfit.

Minxie1977 · 07/09/2009 10:05

School run outfit......WTF?? Even the words annoy me!

PuppyMonkey · 07/09/2009 10:07

It's a very dull outfit for that money if I may say so. Grey grey grey.

claw3 · 07/09/2009 10:14

I see some mums still in their PJ's for the school run!

Im not quite that bad YET!

wahwahwah · 07/09/2009 10:41

Does that include a car?

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 07/09/2009 10:47

'I beg to differ. I think that rather a lot of people can tell the difference between Primark and Farhi. '
really? Normal everyday people rather than rich fashionistas? I've never met anyone who could and wouldn't be able too myself.
lol at 'include a car'

2rebecca · 07/09/2009 14:26

Wearing pyjamas is too casual unless you are unwell and have no-one else to take your kids to school and are driving them there then returning to your bed, although even then I think I'd put a tracksuit on. I wouldn't venture out of the car in my pyjamas. Never seen anyone drop off kids in pyjamas, maybe it's a local thing, or just done by the local nutcase.

curiositykilled · 07/09/2009 15:19

Price is ridiculous for such a thoroughly boring outfit, but the fact they're trying to offer up boots you would struggle to either walk or drive in as 'perfect for the school run' is insane. Glad ds has started at a school where not a single parent feels the need to turn up (probably in a 4x4) wearing an outfit like that.

BrieVanDerKamp · 07/09/2009 16:11

If any of the mums turned up for the school run in those stupid boots they'd be laughed out of the playground

ChopsTheDuck · 07/09/2009 16:16

yep, I could tell the difference between primark and fahri. Fahri knitwear can be worn twice before it starts fecking bobbling up and gets banished to the back of the wardrobe. And it is dry clean only. Very practical.

My primark jumpers have been on countless school runs.

SweetnessAndShite · 07/09/2009 16:16

Well I did my first ever school run today in clothes which cost me under £50 inc undies and a necklace. And £20 of that was shoes.

Ripeberry · 07/09/2009 16:18

Those boots are dangerous! Don't try and drive with those on

mummygirl · 07/09/2009 16:27

As stupid an idea as the "school run outfit" is, there are women who spend thousands and thousands onexpensive 4X4s which have never seen mud even from a distance -they're "school run" cars. I assume it's the same people who spend 1,023 on "this week's school-run outfit".

What I want to know is this: do they spend this much EVERY WEEK?

SweetnessAndShite · 07/09/2009 16:59

Surely you'd have to have a different outfit for each day of the week (at least) so that's £6,138 on clothes for taking the kids to school.... ridiculous!

LetThemEatCake · 07/09/2009 19:00

'Normal everyday people rather than rich fashionistas?'

gosh, I don't know. I suppose that, for me dahling, rich fashionistas are normal everyday people

TheDMshouldbeRivened · 08/09/2009 07:22

hehehehehe

twinsagogo · 08/09/2009 12:17

cheapo alternative that i'm going for.... www.charlotteandco.co.uk got this in an email last week and i'm determined to make other 'school gate mums' believe that i can touch my toes even if i haven't since it was me in reception. i recon i will look rather good for less than £25!

SweetnessAndShite · 08/09/2009 17:05

That cardi almost made me cry!

ginormoboobs · 08/09/2009 17:48

Check these babies out
Now , that would be a school run outfit! I can just see size 18 me wearing those .
Fantastic if you go for the kath and Kim look.
