I hate washing up hence I have a dishwasher!
But all recycling has to be cleaned, we have alternate weeks collection (ie tins/cans one week, card/paper/plastic the next) so other than they wont take it unless its clean, I dont want to store manky cans and plastic bottles for 2 weeks!
It just seems to be multiplying and I always seem to be washing or rinsing cans or plastic bottles!
I totally know IABU but it drives me bonkers!

Interesting article here

I now live in an amazing borough where they collect ALL recycling weekly, and you don't even have to wash it. It may well be destined for the landfill, but there you go

LovelyTinOfSpam · 30/08/2009 12:58

I reckon most of it ends up in landfill in china/india etc

Dishwasher. Not a problem. Plastic bottles just get a rinse.

our cans get taken fortnightly, therefore they smell if i don't at least rinse them out.
and i take plastics and glass myself, on a weekly basis, they also smell.
