I mean why ?

Sickening and annoying seems a bit harsh. I'm quite of her having a figure like that, but I've never been that thin, either now or before I had children anyway.

curiositykilled · 12/08/2009 19:10

It is an article in the daily mail...

scottishmummy · 12/08/2009 19:37

she looks great.nothing sickening/annoying about it

working in media, her image is her job.she is brand daly and has to maintain that

obviously she has worked really hard to get toned

sweetkitty · 12/08/2009 19:42

Before children I was a size 12, three children and five years later I am a size 8 probably as I never sit on my bum for long.

I reckon if you had a personal trainer and a nanny any of us could look like that

Meglet · 12/08/2009 19:45

she looks good. Good genes, good diet, nanny and personal trainer I expect. With that help a lot of people would look and feel pretty good. She's not worrying about going out to get the shopping in the rain with 2 dc's in tow or stuck in a crappy house trying to do it all herself (sorry, do I sound hacked off today? ).

lal123 · 12/08/2009 19:48

I don't find it sickening or annoying - you seem to be forgetting that most of her career is based on her looks, so she has to get back into shape quickly. As others have sais sometimes it happens, sometimes it takes work!

Before DD I was a size 18, straight after having her I was a size 18 - does that count as snapping back into shape??

MarthaFarquhar · 12/08/2009 19:48

She looks great, but then looking great is her job. If someone was paying me gazillions to be thin (as the BBC effectively are), I'm sure I would be too.

CybilLiberty · 12/08/2009 19:49

I find celebs obsession with Twitter sickening and annoying.

My colleague has three children - a singleton and twins. She was back in her sz 8 jeans 2 weeks after having the twins, and had a flat tummy by the time they were 3 months - without hitting the gym. Just the way she is

scottishmummy · 12/08/2009 19:51

but her image is business,so naturally she maintains it

and well i imagine she can afford a nanny, chef, gym etc

and very probably she will bring out a fitness dvd

bronze · 12/08/2009 19:52

I think everyone should suffer one thing be it love handles, saggy belly skin or stretch marks. Why do people like her never get stretch marks its not fair. Its ok to say well you work hard and diet (nanny personal trainer)etc but nothing gets rid of those buggers.

bronze · 12/08/2009 19:53

and 38?!!

Lizzylou · 12/08/2009 19:54

She looks fab, she is an ex-model, got good genes and has to maintain an image for the TV.
I put on loads during both pgs, was never particularly lithe (ha ha! Nowhere near!) beforehand and to be honest for the first few months post baby couldn't have given a flying feck what some bird off the telly looked like. I was far too busy snuggling my new baby and coping with motherhood.

I didn't look like TD pre-baby and I sure as hell didn't post, whats the fuss?

mousemole · 12/08/2009 19:55

agreed, it is her job and must be quite stressful knowing you have to be in front of the camera so soon after giving birth ( and doesn't the camera add 10lbs ?). But....I just don't know how she can have a tummy that toned so few weeks after child birth ?!

CybilLiberty · 12/08/2009 19:55

That bird from The Gadget Show put her wedding pics on Twitter. WE DON'T CARE.

Now if you'll excuse me I must get back to my OK magazine

MaggieBelleVirgo · 12/08/2009 19:56

At least it was 10 weeks and not 2.

I remember when Michael Owen's wife had their first child. I still looked pregnant 6 wks down the line, and they left the hospital with 'Gemma' and Louise (?) had a totally flat stomach and was wearing tight jeans.

That was the one sleb pic that really got to me.... Mind you, I was 32 and she was 23 I think...... makes a difference. Her muscles pinged back. Mind needed a map and a compass (and a flask of tea on the way)

Sidge · 12/08/2009 20:00

My tummy was like that about 3 months after having DD3, I was 35. I had had my 3rd section and am naturally bone idle so no mad exercise regime for me. I guess it's genetic, as I have no stretch marks either and am usually a size 8.

Mind you DD3 is now nearly 3 and I have a right lardy belly on me but that is because I've been eating too much junk food and started a sedentary job last year so nothing to do with childbirth

Niknak21 · 12/08/2009 20:00

I like her, so good on her, but I'm sure that angle is a flattering one

KingRolo · 12/08/2009 20:00

What a terrible show-off!

Niknak21 · 12/08/2009 20:04

Oh and I was congratulated on my post pregnancy body after DS1, I weighed 1 stone less than before I fell pregnant. Unfortunately it wasn't the good genes, or the nanny, chef etc, it was the PND. It's not always a good thing to be thin

Thingiebob · 12/08/2009 20:07

It's her job to look good. She most likely has a nanny, didn't breastfeed and embarked on a regime with a fitness trainer and diet as soon as possible after giving birth. In ten weeks you can lose a substantial amount of weight at a rate of two to three pounds a week if you have the time, motivation and money. I should imagine it's uncredibly hard work but then that is part of her 'job' in the public eye.

And don't for a minute think she hasn't got any stretch marks or saggy bits! That photo was meant to be leaked, every picture of a celeb is carefully manipulated, even home photo software will allow you to airbrush out stretch marks and undesirable bits in seconds if you know how to use it!

She's not representative of real life women. It's the fact that the Daily Mail present her as such that is so bloody offensive and unfair!!

pippylongstockings · 12/08/2009 20:08

She looks great!

I agree her tummy looks v.flat for 10weeks after number 2. However she is standing up.

My tummy can look like that standing up but sitting down is a whole other look!!!

Lizzylou · 12/08/2009 20:12

Actually she could well be breastfeeding as I remember her talking about still BF her first DD when she started on Strictly and how she was a bt embarrased about how big her tits looked.

I've seen her in RL, in a park in Bolton and she is stunning, amazing legs, she is just not too-thin iyswim, bordering on it, but looked great. I didn't see Vernon though, mores the pity. They are a great looking couple.

fluffles · 12/08/2009 20:12

tess daley is an absolute giraffe! i have been in the unlucky position of meeting her once (work-related) and she towered at least a foot over me and she was in flip-flops!!!! (i was in heels )

being that tall makes a huge difference in terms of proportions.
