I just realised that sounds like me saying 'I'm not a racist, one of friends is black' LOL!!

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 10:04

Nailbombs? Arrrrghhhhh! Kimi you rotter.

Moon lol. I'm not northernist, my FIL is northern. I don't like him though!

I'm getting better, with help, thanks Moon. It's been slow progress.

Jude68 · 30/07/2009 10:08

Sarf, I sm indeed s child of the (ahem) late 60's...I know, I know...feel about 150 yrs old most days with my two babies.
Thing is with Northerners living down south is that they do themselves absolutely no favours by banging on in that "comedy" accent about how much better, friendlier, nicer, greener, cheaper, lovelier and generally amazing the NORTH is....why not shut the f*ck up and go home then.
Don't bore everyone else with the tedium of how much you hate the south.
Funnily enough I've found Southerners (rightly) take offence.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 10:09

Do you think Kimi is forming her own TRA (thread republican army) what with the anil bombs and everything??

My FIL is northern too and he is just fab and brilliant with the boo boos. MIL? Hmmm. Nice enough but some very strange ideas.

Chilli you just need to feel the love from the MNers (best stay on this thread then!!!)

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 10:11

not anil bombs, nail bombs.

DS2 back to getting up at 4.30 / 5am please forgive all spelling and poor english - especially Chilli now I know you're a teacher!

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 10:19

Jude, I've indeed met a few like that. I have also found that northerners aren't too keen on southerners living up north. Which is a shame because there are lots of us up here. I don't know why we can't all just get on.

Moon, I shall swap my northern FIL for yours.

Kimi's TRA lol

Don't worry, Moon, I'm not here to mark your writing. If I wanted to do that, I'd be back at work lol.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 10:20

Yes miss

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 10:22

I've met a few like that and I just take the piss. The other mum we do our childcare with is from Manchester and her DH from Scunthorpe and we just take the mickey out of each others accent no probs. Her DD has suddenly noticed the difference in accents and is currently debating which one she wants!

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 16:35

Have you all been killed off by them folk oop north?

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 16:41

Lol no. I took ds out and we had a wander around some shops. I shall be starting a controversial thread to tell everyone that I have bought ds a wrist strap (on the recommendation of a friend) and I really like it. It might just save my back

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 30/07/2009 16:47

Oooh controversy! Can I be mean to you on it just to start a war?

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 19:26

No you cannot! You are meant to be firmly on my side. Do you want to see a chilli moose cry? It's not a pretty sight.

Jude68 · 30/07/2009 19:35

what's controversial about the purchase of a child's wrist strap?
Please excuse me..I've come from Babyworld..home of obsession with Greggs sausage rolls and Fruit Shoots..the Devil's food.

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 19:39

I don't personally think it's controversial, but I've read on here so many times that people don't like them. Anyhoo, the thread is now in chat. Let's see if I've killed it by just starting it...

KIMItheThreadSlayer · 30/07/2009 20:09

I am with whatever chilli said

TheChilliMooseISNOTFOREATING · 30/07/2009 21:27

Thanks Kimi, well agreed

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 31/07/2009 14:41

Jude68 · 31/07/2009 15:35

I'm here but i don't count do I? Boring new girl who doesn't get the "in jokes"....sigh.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 31/07/2009 15:48

Hey Jude, no in jokes just long running threads and of course you count

All are welcome but it has been a bit lonely here today. How has your day been?

Jude68 · 31/07/2009 16:01

Toddler tranfixed to freaking CBeebies and 11 month old slumped in the highchair asleep...really should take them out to the park I suppose.

MoonIsATiredSlayer · 31/07/2009 16:03

Don't diss the Cbeebies! Many a useful hour spent keeping the booboos in check!

Suns out over here in the west of the city how's it dwon south (or are you east?)

KIMItheThreadSlayer · 31/07/2009 18:02

I have spent the day taking kids for hair cuts, ironing and packing for DH1 and the kids to go on holiday tomorrow and getting ready for my friends wedding that we are going to in about half an hour
