is asking to be thought a loon.

They match the colour of her shoes. Which somehow makes it worse.

peachy - I am 5'11" so yep I am tall.

Do you really? Oh well... perhaps it's not that uncommon.

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 07/07/2009 16:19

You are tall, mind my sister was 5' 8" at 11 so....... LOL

My best mate is 4' 11" as well, so think I am just used to not noticing any more!

I think flowers look nice in my hair sometimes (its long now and very wavy) but I never combine with bunches (bunches only if I pulled out the clip that keeps them in an up do and forgot to take the bands out so wander the village looking like minnie mouse )

FIL's GF collects eeyore, anything WtP is a pet hate, much as I love her!

grouchyoscar · 07/07/2009 16:20

Do you want to know what's wrong with the world?
Everywhere there's people with no flowers in their hair.

Thank you Mr McCulloch

YesIHAVEBeenToSanFrancisco · 07/07/2009 16:24

You're talking about ME, aren't you??? And yes you lot, I am jolly charming and eccentric, you're all very perceptive.

TrillianAstra · 07/07/2009 16:24

Definitely not a natural eyesore!

OrmIrian · 07/07/2009 16:43

Thanks trillian

Hmm, you're not going to like the feathers that ds keeps handing me to get stuck in the back of my hair (a la Minihaha) are you ?
You see, I'm finding I rather like them, as a look.

OrmIrian · 07/07/2009 16:59

offspring-designed hair styles/fashions are quite acceptable girders. I have been known to go out wearing a large snake dragon teddy around my neck courtesy of DS#2 and with magpie feathers tucked behind my ears.

I would love the guts (and the legs) to wear patterned tights. I am so boringly conformist it's horrible. I wish I had the bravery to go I don't care what people think this is what I want to wear.

I don't know about purple hair and red handbags but I'm deffo taking up smoking again when I'm 70.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 07/07/2009 17:02

Is she Plymouth Brethern? They do this, its some sort of religious thing.

Overmydeadbody · 07/07/2009 17:04

YABU

However, women who wear clothes with cartoon characters on them are clearly loons.

And people who wear those awful fleeces with kittens or tigers or whatever all over them.

Flowers are fine in comparison

minxofmancunia · 07/07/2009 17:06

I wear silk flowers, clips in the shape of butterflies and dragonflies in my hair, patterned tights, bunches sometimes and various other non conformist attire, and I'm 34.

Don't intend to succumb to the local mummy uniform of boot cut jeans, bobbed hair, a sleevless north face puffa thing and a neck scarf.

Am beginning to see an increasing number of "boho" types round here actually rebelling against the yummy crew.

OrmIrian · 07/07/2009 17:06

I don't think she is PB. They tend to wear long skirts and head scarves.

I think hair flowers are quite as bad as cuddly animal fleeces. I appreciate I may be alone in that though.

OP posts:
HumphreyCobbler · 07/07/2009 17:07

I would think she was odd too.

HumphreyCobbler · 07/07/2009 17:08

Matching flowers to shoe colour is terrible.

OrmIrian · 07/07/2009 17:09

Gah! She isn't boho! I like boho, I like weird, I like odd. I just don't like this little girl thing she does. Sorry minx - don't mean to get tetchy with you but I've said this many times already and am boring myself

I should have posted a different OP. "to think that any grown woman that dresses to be cute and little girly needs a kick up the harris".

Overmydeadbody · 07/07/2009 17:10

Tigerfeet wasn't there an MNer once who followed a lady in one of those awful fleeces once? I'm sure I remember a very funny thread on it

Overmydeadbody · 07/07/2009 17:11

Orm if that had been your thread title I would have said YANBU

leonifay · 07/07/2009 17:24

... i'm worried now what people think about me! although i'm only 21, i always have a flower in my hair, and when i go out they match my shoes and bag when i dont go out they match the colour of my t-shirt.

does that make me little girly? [worried]

sweetnitanitro · 07/07/2009 17:29

The flowers match her shoes? I hope her bag matches as well, otherwise it would just be weird.

FromGirders · 07/07/2009 18:34

Phew, glad my feathers pass muster. They're buzzard btw.
Been wondering if I could get away with an ostrich feather though - just a small one? I promise it won't match my shoes.
