No, no idea who you are! But it was my first ever gig, and it was so fantastic. Travelled on a coach from Norwich with 3 friends, we'd all just finished our O levels!

I also remember Bono trying to get the crowd to sing Ruby Tuesday (as did Crosbie Stills and Nash on Sat at Glasonbury!) but it fell flat as loads of us were v young and didn't know the words! I do vaguely remember Harry's Game too.

And, yes, it poured most of the day!! Made your fags all soggy!

Ah......nostalgia....

I get unreasonably annoyed just watching people doing this on TV, so God knows how I'd cope if I was stuck behind someone at an actual concert.

It is just selfish. "I can see better now, and that's all that matters", kind of attitude.

Also people who allow their children to stand on seats in theaters so that they can see better. Okay if they're short let them kneel up on the seat, but by standing they're towering over all the people sitting and therefore blocking views.

I get unreasonably annoyed with most people just for walking too slow

Children or anyone else are not allowed to stand on seats in theatres etc (health and safety reasons). If they do they should be asked to get down.

deaconblue · 29/06/2009 20:07

yes walking too slowly in busy shops. Girls on shoulders v.annoying, part of the reason I only ever buy sitting down tickets for concerts. (that and irrational fear of crowds)

ConnieComplaint · 29/06/2009 20:58

Well I had sitting down tickets for Take That two weeks ago & the stupid bitch in front of me still stood up!

Even when I screamed for fuck sake, are you stupid? she still stood.... until one of her friends told her to sit down!!!

I have no trouble with people standing up, like if it's a dancey song or whatever, but for fuck sake, it was a slow one, with a piano....I just wanted to watch & listen!!

springlamb · 29/06/2009 21:04

Well I don't want to keep harping on about being at Hyde Park watching the Boss last night....but anyway...that Stupid Woman sitting on up someone's shoulders whilst wearing a T-shirt stating she was 'Mrs Springsteen' was really annoying me. As if...

[secretly wishes she were skinny enough for her dh to hoist her onto his shoulders, perhaps in Sainsburys]

IkeaSnake · 29/06/2009 22:33

sit the fuck down

Connie - we had seats for TT yesterday and everyone in our seating block stood up. Why not? You can dance, etc better that way. DD stood on her chair, rest of us stood. We were 6 rows back but had great view regardless. The seats were tiered too.

Have done the shoulders thing before but I don;t like it. Was back in the days of my early 20s when I was a mere size 6/8 and DH could actually lift me But I really don't like being up there. However being 5 foot nothing - when on my feet I see nothing.

VinegarTits · 29/06/2009 22:42

i get annoyed at people walking slow, and stopping suddenly, just stopping dead, standing there thinking, while i stand behind them doing this face, move the fuck on

bohemianbint · 30/06/2009 20:38

YANBU - does my nut in staring into someone's arse instead of whatever I've paid a fortune to actually see...
