oh bugger, have recently developed stupid crush on this 17 year old boy. Have known him a while but he has suddenly grown up!!!!! iykwim!!!!!

I know this is wrong wrong wrong, but it doesnt stop me feeling like a lovesick teenager again, even though my teenage years are a very long time ago!!!

He has no idea, though we did have a brief conversation about milfs recently!!! Dont think it meant anything!!

Dont think it helps that dh has no interest in sex at the moment, not making me feel very attractive, so steamy fantasies about teenage boys are taking over!!! OMG!!!

YANBU
Nothing wrong with crushes and fantasys.

It'll wear off after a while. Acting upon it is a completely different kettle of fish and totally inadvisable.

Calling the poster a perve just because she admits to finding a young boy who looks like a man attractive and so on is completely uncalled for and nasty.

ishouldbeinbedbynow · 17/06/2009 11:52

I am not wombleprincess ok.

we obviously have a lot in common, what with innappropriate fantasy and posting on mumsnet, but we are two different people.

having read a bit of her thread now you were all much nicer to her

"He has no idea, though we did have a brief conversation about milfs recently!!!"

Flirting no?

ishouldbeinbedbynow · 17/06/2009 11:59

not flirting, it was a general conversation amongst a group of 6/7 people, not just me and him.

obviously wanted to read more into it as I am a sad sad sad woman

am going to work now to take my mind off him it!!!!

What's wrong with a man having a crush on a 17 year old girl? I don't find that in the least bit icky, tbh. Unless it was my man, or my 17 year old dd obviously

lowenergylightbulb · 17/06/2009 12:48

It is predatory when a mature person 'puts the word' on a teenager. Especially someone they have known since they were a child.

Seeing as it's just 'feelings' would people be happy for a tutor/teacher to be lusting after their 17 year old siblings?

After all it's just a crush right?

lowenergylightbulb · 17/06/2009 12:49

I meant children not siblings, that will teach me not to pontificate in a hurry!!!

aGalChangedHerName · 17/06/2009 12:53

Why would you be talking about MILF's with a 17 yr old kid? I can't imagine talking with any of my ds's pals (who are 17.6) whom i have known for a long time also.

Makes me feel yuck when i think about someone your age fancying my ds

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 17/06/2009 12:58

What's MILF's?

clemette · 17/06/2009 13:02

Mothers I'd like to fuck.
Nice.

daisydora · 17/06/2009 13:04

I've often wondered what MILF meant - makes me feel a bit sick TBH

clemette · 17/06/2009 13:08

It is a horrible concept. All about objectifying women as sex objects again. I do think, however, that some people might take it as a compliment...

LastTrainToNowhere · 17/06/2009 13:55

Agree that 17-year olds are generally PITA and I can't imagine having a crush on a teenager for that one reason alone.

Slightly off topic, but I was a huge fan of Take That when growing up - I was literally IN LOVE. Now I'm 30 and they still make me go weak in the knees...the current version of them that is (all, ahem, grown up). When I see stills of them from the 90s, I cannot fancy them even though my 16-year-old self did. Strange, that.

MorningTownRide · 17/06/2009 13:56

LTTN - I am completely the opposite - prefer the grown up TT

BCNS · 17/06/2009 13:59

aghhh that's only 2 1/2 years older than ds1.. ick! sorry i see them still as children. but that's just MO

LastTrainToNowhere · 17/06/2009 14:04

Morning...I prefer the grown up Take That too!
Especially Howard Donald who I ignored throughout my teenage years (stupid me!)

NormaSknockers · 17/06/2009 14:10

As long as it stays as just that, a crush, then I don't see the issue - not like your hitting on him!

Another....er....fan of Zac Effron here.....although not in HSM much prefer him in Hairspray/17 Again

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 17/06/2009 16:03

sorry I asked about the MILFs..

Morloth · 17/06/2009 16:11

I think it is fine to think about it, but not to act on it in any way - no even flirting IMO and the whole MILF conversation would weird me out.

Am getting old though, most boy's under the age of about 25 remind me of my 5yo son - just can't see that many differences anymore .

Olifin · 17/06/2009 18:33

lowenergylightbulb

How would you know if a teacher/tutor had a crush on your offspring? And how would it affect them/you?

MorningTownRide · 17/06/2009 19:48

LastTrain - Duh, I read that as if you didn't fancy them now...

OP has to explain the MILF conversation.

Morloth · 17/06/2009 19:50

I am not sure how you can have that sort of conversation with a 17yo boy and not be flirting?

MorningTownRide · 17/06/2009 19:53

Morloth - That's what I'm trying to get at (not very well)
