Is it all his fault his MPs are a bunch of lying twats?

and i find him strangely attractive as well.

The worst PM - really? On the basis of a global recession? On the basis of an MPs' expenses scandal that quite frankly we'll all forget by the next election?

KathyBrown · 04/06/2009 23:31

I love the fact that he keeps spouting on about a global recession like it was nothing to do with us and we're just the poor old victims.
Open your eyes woman, look around you at the wealth created during the past 12 years what was any of it based on ? Bullshit, money that never existed.

pointydog · 04/06/2009 23:35

There is no logic at all behind calls for an election based on teh MP expenses story.

That is a political system issue, not a government or political party issue.

Caitni · 04/06/2009 23:37

But aspects of the recession really are global. And I really don't see how the entire blame can be laid at the chancellor's feet. How does a chancellor stop private companies (banks) operating within the law (like offering credit cards/personal loans/100% mortgages) to law-abiding people (who like holidays and shopping too much to save anything)?

FluffyBunnyGoneBad · 04/06/2009 23:39

Bloody hell, the government are dropping like flies. It's like rats deserting a sinking ship. I don't think he'll go easily. I don't feel too sorry for him. He spent, spent, spent as the chancellor, I don't think Labour expected to in the last general election so he's made one hell of a bed for himself-and us!

Caitni · 04/06/2009 23:41

Agree with pointydog

They control interest rates and policy's and introduced laws which allowed the risks, when all was well they basked in the glory, when it all went wrong suddenly it was a global issue.
I would think more of him if he stood up said we got it wrong here's how we'll fix it instead of blaming everyone but themselves. And then making us pay literally for their mistakes.

makipuppy · 05/06/2009 09:00

Rindercella is bang on the (lost) money. The mess we are in now may not look like his fault, until you remember he was chancellor for 10 years. Despite being heralded as a weighty economist, he failed to do anything about/encouraged the rampant city behaviour. He made a huge mistake with the gold reserves, as rindercella says.

If he can't stand the heat he should get out the kitchen.

It's a bit wet of people to want to vote for him because he and his wife seem like nice people!

mrsruffallo · 05/06/2009 09:14

I actually still think that GB is doing a good job. There is a lot more to him than the media reports and he really is making changes. I hope he stays

Haribosmummy · 05/06/2009 20:04

I just think it's amazing he is now telling the british public what they need...

HE thinks he is the right man for the job
HE thinks he is doing a great job
HE thinks this is what we need.

I'm sure Hitler had similar thoughts!!!

sorry, but he should call a general election and face the consequences.

Yes, he is likely to lose and yes, it's not all his fault... but a man of his intelligence should have known that was a risk when he took the job...

MANATEEequineOHARA · 05/06/2009 20:13

YANBU, I feel sorry for him too, but certainly do not find him attractive.

He pissed me off a bit with his contradictiond on aviation and emissions, but he is definitely getting far worse than he deserves.

MrsMattie · 05/06/2009 20:14

Have aired my views on various other threads... but 'attractive'? God, know. I would shag Thatcher before I'd shag him, and I am a) straight and b a lifelong Labour supporter.
