A couple of mums at school were wearing white framed sunglasses at pick up yesterday. They are very attractive and stylish women but these sunglasses looked stoopid, as if they were trying too hard to be cool. Here's an example

I think sunglasses are a special dispensation accessory
It is not sensible (generally) to wear day-glo leggings plus a boob tube a la re-run of 80s fashion if older than 30+ but perhaps sunglasses fall into a more relaxed category

I absolutely love sunglasses. I just think those white framed ones look odd/weird/wrong on older women and should perhaps come with a fashion warning that you might give the appearnce of trying to hard.

It ties my hair back nicely in this hot weather - but i did get a comment at school gates about trying to recapture my youth (as i said i'm 35) - it was said with a "smile" (in front of alot of folk) but it did upset me a bit. I just liked it. This thread reminded me of it as i'm surrounded by fashion police at school and am a bit scruffy boho at heart.

ive just brought some white sunglasses today.. to cheer myself up.... Im 30. Not for one second did i think i was too old for them!
