MIL did a favour for my sister a while back so my sister bought her a photo frame thinking that she would put a photo of my 2 dc in it. I mentioned once in conversation that although FIL takes hundreds of photos of them non of them were ever on show in a frame. The only ones they had on show were a couple that we had done for them.

Anyway she had dd yesterday for a couple of hours and when I went to pick her up I noticed the photo frame and it had a picture of BIL and his girlfriend in it. I know this probably sounds so trivial but do you think IABU about this. I have told my sister and she is quite annoyed too.

OTT? It's the least they can do.

I would also suggest a motorised whip that can be used when they are driving.

Be sure that they learn the appropriate chants too.

Sorry got a bit carried away there.

As far as I am concerned they can do what they like with the "gift" use or not use as they see fit. Its the nature of giving , literally its out of your hands what happens next! [smirk] at my own rubbish pun.
Hully, you are kidding non?

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 03/06/2009 17:17

ROFL at this. We once gave MIL some framed photos of our children. She took them out of the frames and handed back the frames, as 'she had too many already'.
She doesn't really get the concept of 'gift'.
I've decided life's too short to sweat the small stuff, and I recommend that the OP should think about doing the same.

LovelyTinOfSpam · 03/06/2009 18:05

Is there actually a rule that if you give someone a picture frame they have to put a picture of you in it?

I have never heard this.

Should I have dished out picture frames as gifts to men i fancied at work???

kittywise · 03/06/2009 18:10
