I think it is perfectly possible that someone could peruse the list of 'policies' on the BNP site and find themselves agreeing with quite a lot (traditional architecture, how sweet, organic farming for all, what's to not like, back to traditional teaching, whatever that means....) and then voting f them becaue they are disillusioned with the other parties.

And a bit thick.

Because there is absolutely no substance to the collection of little rants that pass for policy on the BNP website, and it must be obvious to anyone who reads the news at all that they have simply spun what they say to fit the boundaries of what they CAN say and be a 'legit' party - and to be able to claim the preposterous 'non racist' identity which they need in order to be able to campaign.

I said not everyone in the BNP is racist.. i have not once said the BNP as an organisation isnt racist, just that in the current economic climate, not all the voters are based on conversations i've had in the bar i work in.

The voters may be stupid, misguided, mistaken or sucked in by the propaganda, but it doesnt make them all racist.

And if the BNP leaflet comes through my door I will pout it straight into the recycling, or re-direct it to BNP HQ without a stamp, and reserve the right to have a little moan because they propose to bribe an overseas country to take DP and DS in as residents (repatriation in return for aid / countries paid to take back people of same ethnic origin).

The BNP are not just a facist organisation, they are also appallingly stupid. The fact that at the beginning of their PPB Nick Griffin shouts "Don't switch off!" was pretty indicative of the level of distaste most of the country has for their racist policies.

Saying that not all people who vote for them are racist is one of the most bizarre things I have ever heard.

I am amazed that anyone reads stuff that isn't addressed. My neighbours upstairs and us have a recycling bag permanently living in the hall. No address? Straight into the bag, I don't even look at it. We have a basket each for addressed mail and another for "old tenants" if the old tenants don't claim within 6 months, into the bag with it.

Morloth - i take a quick glance just to see if any of it might be of interest.. occasionally you get something useful, but it generally just gets shoved straight in the bin or given to my 2yo to play with as he's got a paper ripping fetish ATM.

MIFLAW - some of the nightclub flyers we get aren't far off being pornographic.. still just gets chucked in the bin.

THe thing is, with political flyers, the Royal Mail cant just pick and chose which parties to flyer for, they have to do it for all of them that want to use the door-to-door.

MIFLAW - from what one of the guys i was talking to was saying, he hasnt been on their website, he hasnt even looked at their policies in detail.. he just decided to vote for them after that issue up north with all the protesters over the contracting job at the power station.

He said he was voting for them while sat there with a guy called Raj, who then asked him if he was a racist, and he said no, he just wants someone to stand up and make a point about companies recruiting from abroad before trying to employ british workers.

Its people like him that the BNP are attracting.. they arent instrinsically racist and dont believe themselves to be.

He did also say he doesnt expect or want them to get into power, but maybe if enough people vote for them and a few get into parliament then maybe the Gov' will sit up and take notice and do something to help safeguard our economy... that really seemed to be the overwhelming feeling.

Stripey dear, when the BNP go on about immigration and jobs, they are talking about ethnics like me, not white Australians, New Zealanders, Americans, French, Swiss etc.

Remove the ethnics from working in the NHS,care homes, cleaning jobs etc and these institutions will collapse instantly. Will the thickos who vote for the BNP be willing to do these jobs? Hell will freeze over before that happens. These are the jobs which my DM and DF did as part of the 60s West Indian influx to save Britain because too many of the indigenous population thought they were too good to do those type of jobs. BNP minded type of folks hated us then and they still hate us now.

Yep, the local big nightclub used the Royal Mails 'direct marketing' scheme in the local area.

I just love getting flyers of scanitily clad pole and podium dancers on my mat.. makes me feel all fuzzy when i chuck it in the bin, rofl.

Well I live in London and have never had a nightclub flyer through the door but to be honest it wouldn't be cost effective for me to post them I am shocked its cost effective for anyone to post them as most events are aimed at a certain clientle so to pay big money for 1000's of flyers to be printed to then post to an 80yr old granny is a waste of money I stand out on the road out side clubs networking......

Its not hardcore porn on the flyers but yes its women in under wear or bikini's or even a a nice dress

They bought the land and built the nightclub on it, from scratch.. they also own two or three other businesses in the area.. not all of them entirely above board if rumour is to be believed.

Not only are the BNP clearly and unequivocally anti non-whites, but the basis on which they would determine one's right to belong in the UK is wholly dependent on desperate magical thinking and random selection.

They define the term 'ethnically British' as relating to people whose families were living in Britain something like four or five hundred years ago. I don't recall the exact date, but they have randomly selected a year in which they believe all residents of the UK can be counted as British.

That would include foreigners who invaded long before that date, such as the Romans around 60 AD (who brought Africans with them - so says my white DH ), Germans (Saxons), French (Normans) and many more Europeans. Let's not forget the humans living in the Lower Paleolithic age (evidence of their tools has been found in the UK) back, oooh, 250,000 years ago. They travelled across from...wait for it...wait for it...Africa.

So.

Magical thinking (imagining that one can define a British ethnicity - genetic testing will quickly put paid to that little fantasy) and random selection of a date in history (presumably using spin the bottle?). If a non-BNP voter such as me can be bothered to find out even the most meagre facts about the history of our nations, please tell me why BNP voters and BNP leaders would choose not to discover this for themselves? The information is easily accessible to anyone who can be bothered to look for it. The fact is that the BNP and BNP voters (yes, I am deliberately generalising) would like to see Britain for whites only, and therefore are willing to ignore all the evidence which shows that there is absolutely no scientific or historical basis on which such a Britain could exist.
