Me to bloke whose dog had just a huge poo on the grass on our local green:
'Excuse me, are you not going to pick that up?'
Bloke to me: 'How about I make you eat it, you ct. F* off.'
I cycled off very quickly. What would you have done?

nickytwotimes · 20/05/2009 14:22

Oh dear!
I would have beaten a hasty retreat myself.
SOunds like he wouldn't be one to reason with!

Bettymum · 20/05/2009 14:22

Cycle off very quickly.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 20/05/2009 14:22

I'd like to think I would have ignored him, but in reality I would have had a fishwife moment and started ranting at him - probably with a few expletives thrown in!

Poledra · 20/05/2009 14:22

I would have run away then considered calling my local police station. What a horrible thing for him to say.

gibbberish · 20/05/2009 14:23

His response was more disgusting than the huge poo. YA most certainly NBU!

I would have phoned the police and got him arrested for dog fouling.

Actually I probably wouldn't do that as probably wouldn't think of it at the time but that's what I would LIKE to do.

Tidey · 20/05/2009 14:24

How bloody rude. People shouldn't be allowed dogs if they're not prepared to look after them properly, which includes picking up after them. Disgusting behaviour.

gibbberish · 20/05/2009 14:24

Maybe not arrested but charged certainly. Git.

SouthMum · 20/05/2009 14:25

!!

If it were me I wouldnt have said anything tho - people dont like being pulled up on things like this.

Maybe he was just about to pick it up hence the twatty reply?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 20/05/2009 14:25

Surely if we called the police they would say we haven't got any officers free blah blah blah and anyway we can't do anything unless we actually witness it.

CandleQueen · 20/05/2009 14:26

That's terrible.
I don't understand why some people think it's acceptable to speak to another human being in that manner.

BodenGroupie · 20/05/2009 14:26

Ooh, you beat my one. Got followed through our very peaceful market town by a young guy talking to his friend at the top of his voice - every second word was f. Lots of kids and elderly people around so I turned round and very politely asked him to watch his language. He squared up to me and yelled, "mind your own f business, this is a free f* country we have free f speech and I can f well do what I want. Call the f police if you're that bothered!". His friend looked mortified. I couldn't find a policeman anywhere and felt really old and snobby!

jumpingbeans · 20/05/2009 14:27

you should have said, "i'll take that as a no then, shall I", can't you find out where he lives and shove the turd through his letter box with a "I think you forgot this" note stuck in it

Meglet · 20/05/2009 14:30

I wouldn't have said anything back to him as he was obviously a bit scary. I'd possibly consider calling the police / council dog warden to see what they might be able to do.

Egg · 20/05/2009 14:31

at jumpingbeans...

I am getting increasingly fed up at having to scrub sh*t off DCs shoes and pushchair wheels after every trip out...

MrsMerryHenry · 20/05/2009 14:33

I would have punched him in the balls. Monster.

shrinkingassets · 20/05/2009 14:33

SouthMum he definitely wasn't about to pick it up - he was walking away, which is why I said what I did.
I did consider calling the police, then I decided that if they did anything about it I might end up feeling scared to go the green/playground in case he started some sort of vendetta against me. It was such an extreme response that I wondered what else he might be capable of...

I did once gently (smilingly) challenge a dickhead who'd chucked a bottle top on the pavement (on MY street) by saying - could you not just put it in your pocket? (bearing in mind the bin was 10 metres away). The look on his face would have been appropriate if I'd said: 'Your mother's a whore and your dad's her pimp'.

I also bid a hasty retreat.

These people are just not normal, are they?

MillyR · 20/05/2009 14:36

Next time, don't confront them, just take photos with your mobile phone and send to relevant person at council with date and location. Do the same with people committing driving offences (wrong way down 1 way street etc).

PremenstrualChickens · 20/05/2009 14:36

Eek! I'd like to think that I'd have said something dead cutting and cool, but in reality I would have legged it and possibly cried. What a git.

Gateau · 20/05/2009 14:38

Vile piece of shit - him, I mean, never mind the poo!
c**t is one fo the offensive words around, IME.
Shows what some people are capable of; very worrying.
I would leave it now, for fear of a nasty reprisal (It's really not worth it), but if you see it happening again, say nowt and just report it.

wotulookinat · 20/05/2009 14:41

Oh my God! How shocking that someone would speak to a stranger like that, especially when he knew he was in the wrong.

maltesers · 20/05/2009 14:41

YES ,, CALL TYHE POLICE.. IT NEEDS REPORTING... HE IS USING THREATENING WORDS AND BEHAVIOUR... HE COULD BE SPOKEN TO BY POLICE ... HE IS BANG OF OF ORDER. HIS WORDS ARE DISGUSTINGLY RUDE AND UNACCEPTABLE. I WAS A SPECIAL CONSTABLE FOUR YEARS AGO AND IF SOMEONE DID THIS THEY WOULD BE SPOKEN TO IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS.
WHEN HE SAID THIS I WOULD HAVE SAID TO HIM THAT YOU ARE REPORTING HIS BEHAVIOUR TO THE POLICE AND HIS WORDS.

shrinkingassets · 20/05/2009 14:43

Think if I'd taken a photo of him he would have beaten me up, tbh.
I didn't cry but I was quite shaken up when I got home. And I can't get it out of my head, which is one of the reasons I posted about it, I suppose.
If he'd just told me to f* off I'd have been far less disturbed. Cross and a bit upset probably, but not as shocked as I was by the rest of it. At least the DCs weren't with me.

OP posts:
maltesers · 20/05/2009 14:45

They are normal MrsMerryHenry..... they are also common as muck.. Yes would be tempting to put turd thro his letter box... but what is he caught you?? He might just have a piece of you there and then. !!!!!!!! (shock)

MrsMerryHenry · 20/05/2009 14:49

No, malty, they're not normal. I think on this count Scientology has a great deal to offer us. These people come from another planet!
