If there is a thread that deals with something quite likely and pertinent to quite a few people's lives, who cares that you personally don't think it 'rings true'? Not everyone lives the same kind of life as you.

Just don't contribute! If you're that bored, don't bore me.

DP, you say what you think and there is nothing wrong with that!

I much prefer people who are completely honest and aren't afraid to say what they think.

There has to be an element of trust everywhere, even on internet forums, I think. However, we should be able to post what we feel/believe without worrying about being flamed or accused of being a troll.

Some people won't always agree with what we have to say, but that is what I like about mumsnet, is when the arguments discussions get really heated and then end up with people having a laugh!

i don't think of you as being unpopular on here, dp. vocal, yes, but with a constituency iykwim? you're not just completely aff yer heid.

I am merely conveying my thoughts about the type of poster I prefer to see on Mumsnet.

I prefer to read posts by people that you immediately know what they are talking about, instead of taking so long to decipher posts, that by the time you have done that and typed a response, the discussion has moved on several pages.

Yankncock; (just to prove my point that i have to reply)...i'm not saying most posters on mn are really 57 yr old men or 14 year old boys... (although i'm sure some are)....i would say the vast majority of posters on mn are completely genuine, and if anything, give away too much real life info!....it's just on certain subjects i seem to be a lone voice in the wilderness...i think...how can i be the only person to think this way?...... some people on here seem a bit reluctant to have an opinion that doesn't have the guardian written all over it....too good to be true iykwim.

anyway...i'm off to ride my bike around richmond park...i'll be wearing blue tights/boots/shorts and a nike hoodie!.....if you see me wave ok...don't pretend you don't know me...!
