Asking advice is fine. But they could say 'have you got any tips for travelling with children'. It is the way they put it. Well thats for me,anyway

bigchris · 01/05/2009 15:11

ah, but with a PFB everything tried for the 1st time is a huge deal

my 38 yr old sister has never been on a tube in London on her own and would have a major panic attack if she had to do that with her dcs
some people's fears are other people's everyday common occurences

I would hate to go on a longhaul flight with my kids but I'll quite happily sit in a restaurant on my own for a meal which I knwo some people would never do

horses for courses, live and let live etc etc

I wouldnt judge you if you are flying from usa with 3 and pregnant. I would take my hat off .But i admit that i get a bit if you fly to spain -2 adults, one baby- and you discribe it as the most extra-ordinary mission in the history of parenthood.Sorry i cant help it

Gorionine · 01/05/2009 16:28

LOL @ nappies in the dishwasher! I dare you to try PadDad!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/05/2009 16:31

LaQuitar..maybe you are very capable,...but not everyone is as capable as you....

AnnieLobeseder · 01/05/2009 16:36

Ah, but did PadDad mean put the nappy or the baby in the dishwasher?

If I vomited that easily I'd be posting on health, not AIBU.

Nighbynight · 01/05/2009 17:28

I find the threads funny where people say "Any advice on travelling to Bali with an 18 month old"

mine is always "are you mad?"

pointydog · 01/05/2009 17:33

hey, we're all looking for attention

To the author of the HELLLPPP thread it may well be something they terrified about even if it makes us think . We all have stuff that worries us. We all have stuff that we get a bit extra about.

Surely the point is that if the reader doesnt find the 'emergency'as daunting as the OP they are then able to give calm, considered advice/opinions?

If we all got our knickers in a twist about the same things there wouldnt be much point in a support forum. We would all just be running around in circles going 'omg she's right, she's right, weaning at 24 weeks instead of 25 weeks means the world is going to end - we are all doooommmed '

TheScatterGunApproach · 03/05/2009 07:24

Oh get over yourself.

People are entitled to ask for advice. And have you TRIED travelling with a toddler??

You're the one attention seeking, love!

SerendipitousHarlot · 03/05/2009 10:33

mulranno I believe you have been pwned, as the youngsters say
